In business, I have never opted for the "cheaper" option and been happy with my decision. Some of my clients have to realize this for themselves and it cost them time, money and resources. They come back and say "you were right, XYZ company did have that issue." In the fraud detection world, they are usually referring to false positives. Unfortunately, it's a lesson they have to learn on their own but that's life... Check out Anura for truly accurate fraud detection technology. #fraudprevention #frauddetection #fraudprotection #affiliatemarketing #performancemarketing

As a chief marketing officer, you care about the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns. The entire user journey from your landing page to your onboarding is very critical and should be seamless. Otherwise, all that money spent on ads and emails is wasted. But does your security team allow you to prevent all those sign up checks and let every visitor in? They would if they know they can protect the product. And it's possible with a good "account fraud prevention" tool like CrossClassify.

Email marketing is typically considered the most straight-forward type of marketing to comply, especially for US-based businesses subject to the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act (#CANSPAM). However, it is important that companies do not put their email marketing programs on autopilot and make assumptions about how your program is compliant. The Federal Trade Commission (#FTC) recently issued a fine over alleged violations of CAN-SPAM. The FTC alleged the company violated CAN-SPAM by flooding prospective customers with a barrage of commercial emails and failing to include the option to unsubscribe or opt-out, honor opt-out requests and provide a physical postal address in the emails. The fine, $2.95 million, the largest penalty obtained by the FTC for a CAN-SPAM violation, is another sign of the stringent regulatory climate. The settlement underscores the importance of a robust compliance program that regularly monitors compliance with the laundry-list of regulations impacting businesses both domestically and internationally. FCC's anti-lead generator rule. According to the FCC the rule will “further protect consumers from scam communications by directly addressing some of the biggest vulnerabilities in America’s robo-text defenses and closing the ‘lead generator’ robocall/robo-texts loophole. “The new rule allow blocking of ‘red flagged’ robo-texting numbers, codifies do-not-call rules for texting, and encourages an opt-in approach for delivering email-to-text messages.” [Specifically, it} allows the FCC to ‘red flag’ certain numbers, requiring mobile carriers to block texts from those numbers.” The rules also codify that Do-Not-Call list protections apply to text messaging, making it illegal for marketing texts to be sent to numbers on the registry.” The FCC also adde that, [t]he new rules make it unequivocally clear that comparison shopping websites and lead generators must obtain consumer consent to receive robocalls and robotexts one seller at a time – rather than have a single consent apply to multiple telemarketers at once,” the FCC added. It is clear that this change will disrupt the current way potential homebuyer leads are bought and sold. Whether you are a lead aggregator or a buyer of leads, you are impacted by the new rule. It may be #internationaljokeday, but robocalls and spam are no joke. Major phone carriers have adopted an aggressive program to identify incoming robocalls and robotexts, using the FTC and third-party companies that maintain spam number databases. Being incorrectly identified as Spam can result from several causes: ❌ Users manually identify the number as Spam ❌ A high number of short calls originating in a short period ❌ A spike in call volume An unfortunate side effect of spoofing and aggressive algorithms is that legitimate businesses frequently have their phone numbers wrongly identified as a Fraud, Spam Risk, or Scam Likely call. NUSO Brand Watch is the way to know if legitimate phone numbers (DIDs) are blocked or listed in Spam databases. https://lnkd.in/gqx7viVr #cloudservices #telecom #cloudcommunications #communications #telecommunications #solutionprovider #NUSO #ucaas #carrierservices #ITCommunity #unifiedcommunications
