What are the most common disability rider's we see? ▫ Residual Benefit: pays a percentage of the insured's total disability benefit if you they are disabled but don't meet total disability requirements. ▫ Cost-of-Living Adjustment: increases the monthly benefit over time to keep up with inflation. ▫ Catastrophic Benefit: provides an additional monthly benefit if the insured cannot perform 2 of the 6 ADL's. ▫ Benefit Increase: allows insured to apply to purchase additional coverage every three years, without medical underwriting.
