The reality is your teams are likely executing on multiple projects at any given time. So how do they know which one should take priority? Or which one will have the most impact on the organization's bottom line or performance? We’ve seen this divide intensify when business units work on competing, siloed efforts rather than toward the collective goals of the organization. Only 52% of employees surveyed in our database say when their team is executing multiple projects, leadership articulates which one should take priority to support organizational objectives. That's where common purpose comes in. When done right, common purpose serves as the organizational "glue" that aligns and motivates high-caliber talent towards achieving extraordinary results. When every team member sees how their role creates collective impact in service of an inspirational purpose, it unlocks a powerful unity that propels an organization. Uncover the 7 essential principles for common purpose in this piece from Daniel Kenny, Ph.D.

Speed is the success and failure of many organizations. The best leaders of sustained high performing companies know this and use speed to their advantage. The best strategies mean nothing if you don’t apply effort and execute, making timely and confident decisions. Continuously apply effort to a strong strategy and you have a winning formula. How do you effectively instill speed across an organization or team? Follow the basics of sustained high performance: 1. Set clear objectives and expectations, communicating them often. 2. Empower people to be part of the solution, inviting ideas and effort from all. 3. Purposefully pause to evaluate progress and learnings to apply moving forward. 4. Have the mentality to overcome obstacles and find your #pathtoyes. 5. Celebrate each step win or a lose. When you learn, every step is a step forward. It’s not about moving faster, it’s about continuously moving forward and not stopping. A culture focused on decisions, learning, communication and measurable progress is a culture of speed. #growth #growthmindset #leadership #culture #highperformance #success https://lnkd.in/eVDvdHUz

Culture or strategy? Which is more important for success? In my recent TEDx talk, "Culture Eats Strategy for Lunch," I explored this controversial topic. While both are essential, I recently asked a small focus group of colleagues, and the majority agreed that a solid culture is key to empowering employees to challenge the status quo and spark game-changing ideas. But what do you think? Do you prioritize culture over strategy to unleash your organization's transformational vision? Share your thoughts in the comments! #culture #strategy #innovation #transformation For more insights on this topic, check out these interesting articles from the Harvard Business Review: - Does Your Company’s Culture Reinforce Its Strategy and Purpose? - Company Culture Is Everyone’s Responsibility

Servant Leader with an Infinite Mindset | Continuous Improvement Practitioner | Champion of Sustainable Growth & Innovation | Fitness Fanatic | Guitar Enthusiast
People First, Systems Second in Continuous Improvement In our journey towards operational excellence, it's crucial to remember the order of priority: People first, systems second. Cultivating the Right Culture: The cornerstone of continuous improvement lies in building a culture that values the people. By putting people at the forefront, we create an environment where innovation thrives. 🛠️ Role of Systems: While systems are essential tools that help streamline operations, they should support, not dictate, the human element. Systems work best when they enhance the processes that our people manage and improve. 🔍 Addressing Issues: When challenges arise, rather than pointing fingers at individuals, we should examine the systems and processes. Understanding that the solution often lies in process refinement helps us address the root cause without undermining morale. This approach not only leads to more effective problem-solving but also empowers our teams, fostering a workplace where continuous improvement is embraced by all. 🤔 How do you ensure that your approach to continuous improvement puts people first? #Leadership #ContinuousImprovement #PeopleFirst
