Can't beat it? Embrace it. I saw this article earlier today and was stuck with the simplicity with which education institutes should turn AI into an ally. These initiatives aim to educate students on the ethical and responsible use of AI, focusing on critical thinking and creativity, amid concerns about AI's implications for learning and society. More importantly, schools are leveraging AI tools to enrich teaching and learning experiences, emphasizing the importance of using AI as a supplementary educational tool rather than a shortcut to knowledge. Some of you might recall that I am doing an Ed. D. on Emerging Technologies in Education. This Tedx Talk discusses how to teach our students to use AI so that it is like a tutor. Bloom found that tutored students scored two standard deviations higher than the others.
