What an amazing meeting we had at the Destiny Alignment and Career Expo hosted by @JesusTabernacleofprayer. It was an honour to speak about the breakdown of vocal-based based Career, the 4 types of vocal-based careers;mainly Education, Entertainment, Public Speaking and Coaching, break down common misconceptions surrounding vocal-based careers and how to navigate around and the steps or guidelines that one can utilize to build their vocal-based career. The content is applicable to all types of ages and any type of vocal-based career including teaching, business coaching, sports coaching, singing, voice-over work and public speaking. I've also added extra tips and guidelines to build and maintain healthy progress in your career(as i am a public speaker) which I have attached in this post.

Why you? #fridayfocus This question was the title of the virtual mock interviews conducted for Wittenberg University students this last week. As an alumnus and alumni board member of Witt, I happily volunteered a few hours to participate in this innovative program. It was great to meet students, connect with faculty and help “pass the torch” to others. The title “Why you?” kept popping up in my head this week. In internal meetings. In emails. In demos. In conversations at home. All too often, we try to move the needle forward or execute action items without asking ourselves: why me? What do I bring to a conversation? Why is it important for me to communicate now? How can I contribute to this differently than anyone else? The more we differentiate—and even more importantly make relevant—“why us”… …the more success we will find. Grateful for this reminder this week and grateful for the opportunity to give back and mini-mentor. (Mentorship takes many forms, just ask Tara…) How can you make a difference? During the summer, I had the privilege of leading orientation sessions designed not just to introduce students to their new academic environment but also to assist in their cultural, social, and emotional acclimatization. Organizing workshops on cultural adjustment and leading icebreaker activities to forge new friendships were among the many highlights. Key Insights from My Summer Experience: Leadership and Teamwork: I took charge of a volunteer team to deliver engaging and informative orientation events, honing my leadership and teamwork skills. Cross-cultural Communication: I developed my ability to navigate and bridge cultural differences, ensuring clear and inclusive communication. Problem-solving: I tackled unexpected challenges head-on, from last-minute schedule changes to addressing students' immediate concerns. Event Planning: I acquired practical event management experience, ensuring each orientation was both memorable and impactful for new students. Although my role as an International Student Orientation Leader took place over the summer, the lessons and memories remain vividly with me. The experience emphasized the value of empathy, adaptability, and innovative thinking in leadership. It was a privilege to contribute to making the students' transition smoother and more welcoming. I am immensely thankful for the skills I've gained and the people I've met along this journey. A heartfelt thank you to my team and to all the students who made this experience truly unforgettable. Better late than never! 😂 These last few months, I have made sure to take the time at the end of each month to look back and hold myself accountable for both my personal and professional goals. These last few weeks have just gone by in a whirl, and before I knew it, we were halfway through May. 😅 So it's a little bit late, but that doesn't mean it's not worth doing. Here goes. April's word of the month is Training because April was full of delivering training and workshops to some amazing people. On the professional front: 👉 Delivered 7 virtual training sessions on all things power skills (think critical thinking, communication, teamwork, growth mindset, owning your presence, etc.) 👉 Led a face-to-face workshop for WITS on Balancing Work and Life 👉 Conducted a virtual workshop on Teamwork, Collaboration, and Conflict Management 👉 Took a new approach to sharing content on Instagram and got back to delivering videos! 👉 Welcomed more clients looking for career clarity, support with their job search strategy, and presenting their career stories On the home front: 👉 Celebrated another milestone birthday in the wider family 👉 Enjoyed a welcome visit from one of my daughters from London 👉 Headed off to Nice on April 30th for a few days of exploration So, I invite you to take a few minutes to reflect on everything that deserves celebrating this month, both big and small, instead of always telling yourself you are not enough. 💗 #motivation #selfdevelopment #selfimprovement

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲... A few months ago, I had the fantastic opportunity to dive into the "Train the Trainer" course AIM Learning Solutions. It was an experience that truly transformed my approach to designing and developing training programs. This course wasn't just about ticking boxes; it was about unlocking the magic of adult learning. I gained so much—𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. The program was professionally structured, blending rich content with hands-on practice, making every moment both enlightening and enjoyable. What made it meaningful was seeing firsthand how powerful a well-designed training program can be. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸. I'm thrilled to share AIM Associes' video of me discussing this incredible journey.
