What personal information does Roblox share with the complaining party when you submit a DMCA counter notice to Roblox?   Spoiler: a lot! 📑 This is Roblox’s Terms of Use. It says: “We may send a copy of the counternotice, including any contact information you provide, to the original complaining party.” 👉 That means Roblox may forward your name, address, telephone number, email address to the original complaining party. I recently sent a DMCA notice to Roblox on behalf of a client. 📩 Here is the email that I received in response from Roblox. 👀 You can see that they’ve shared the name and address of the original complaining party with me. They only withheld the original complaining party’s phone number. 🔦 So when you send a counternotice to Roblox, Roblox has the discretion to send all of your personal information to the original complaining party. And it seems that with the exception of your phone number, that’s what they’re doing. Lego + Fortnite All my 9-year-old son's dreams coming true. He plays with both just about every day. Just when I thought Fortnite was falling a bit out of favor, they've made some very smart moves recently. They are revisiting old seasons, reconnecting with their fanbase getting a lot of buzz on the internet, and then making exciting announcements for the new season such as the Lego collaboration. I'm curious to see how this will affect Minecraft, if at all, as Fortnite continues to lean a lot more into its creative/building mode, especially on a "Lego" theme. Huge news: the LEGO Group joins the world of Fortnite. It's the right step considering that major brands like Marvel, Balenciaga, and Star Wars have already partnered with Fortnite. But what should LEGO fans expect? Soon 1,200+ outfits will have a LEGO Style in addition to the regular Fortnite Style. All styles will be available in the LEGO Fortnite adventure. Similar to other collaborations, LEGO makes its own impact on digital fashion and lets Fortnite players be more creative and express themselves as they wish. When Fortnite was released by Epic Games in 2017, many snobbish gamers wrote it off as a fad. Flash forward to 2023 and the game has made over $27bn and counting, collaborated with some of the biggest franchises and celebrities in the world (such as Eminem a few weeks ago) and has an average of 223 MILLION monthly players! And the latest collaboration? They've teamed up with a little up and coming brand called the LEGO Group... This new collaboration will include the usual content such as player skins, but the key features is an ambitious new mode called Lego Fortnite, which is designed to take on gaming titans such as Minecraft and Roblox Games. To celebrate this new mega-collab, they've released a brand new trailer which System1 have tested amongst a general nat rep audience in the UK. The result? It is strong at 3.6 Stars placing it in the top 20% of the UK video games database - the same as the recent GTA VI trailer. Another similarity with the GTA trailer is that it's longer than it needs to be. If you look at the Happiness tab on the report linked in the comments, you'll see this key emotion peaks at a minute or so in, but it continues for nearly 2 more minutes! So an easy fix to further improve? Cut the trailer down! A further potential improvement would be to incorporate some more dialogue - both Lego and Fortnite are well known for humour and characters, so using some more voices and verbal interactions would no doubt keep the Fortnite behemoth in good health for years to come. p.s. if you have kids like mine, you may want to remortgage your house now to pay for all the new skins and toys they'll want! 😂 Inés Nadal Lisa Nash Lee E.
