Really interesting paper by Karen on the differences needed when managing psychosocial risks over other WHS risks

Many workplaces have been tackling psychosocial risk for a while now. From "we need to treat psych risk in the EXACT same way as we do physical risks" to our current state of knowledge that says that the traditional WHS risk management approach won't work (and won't comply with legislative obligations), the learnings are starting to stack up. Samantha Thomas and I share some of those learnings in this paper, including ways to avoid the potential pitfalls. Interesting article. There are two pieces I’d love to hear more about Karen Mealmaker. One is minor - it would be good to have a definition of psychosocial workplace risk in the beginning. I have a general idea of course. Second - how does climate risk contribute to psychosocial risk? High heat days, water availability, increased weather related school closures, wildfires… I’ve found them all to be huge contributors to negative workplace stress!
