The second in our embossing tools series. Simply combining a special shape with a forming tool can create unique features. Here, obround and rectangle shapes were combined with an embossing tool to create an anti-slip pattern for floor grates. #mateprecisiontechnologies #formingfridays #specialextrusion+emboss #sheetmetal #fabrication #mateformingtip

10 Questions You Need to Consider Before Examining a Foundry (Ⅶ) 7. Can They Design Molds? When visiting a foundry, the buyer needs to make sure that the mold design is appropriate for the type of casting to be done. The design should also be suitable for the size and shape of the part to be cast. If the mold is poorly designed, the location, size and shape of the gate and riser are not reasonable, which can lead to major defects in the casting. Therefore, the presence of a professional design department is also a key point to be examined when examining. If necessary, you can let the designer live operation demonstration once the 3D design process. #ironcasting #sandcasting #castiron #foundry

🔍 Ever Wondered About the Main Parts of an Injection Mold? 🔍 🏗️ 1. Mold Base: The foundation of the mold, providing structure and support for all other components. 🏗️ 🔧 2. Mold Cavity: The hollow space where the plastic material is injected and shaped. This is where your final product takes form. 🔧 🛠️ 3. Mold Core: The counterpart to the cavity, shaping the interior surfaces of the molded part. Together with the cavity, it defines the shape and structure of the part. 🛠️ 🌟 At SZOMK, we ensure precision and quality in every part of our injection molds. 🌟 https://partmold.com/ #InjectionMolding #Manufacturing #Engineering #SZOMK #MoldDesign #PrecisionMolding

Today, we will share with you our advanced machining processes. Let's take an in-depth look at one of our recent projects - a simple yet complex non-standard product. While the product's appearance was not complex, its thin walls and multiple cavities posed a significant machining challenge. First, we'll take a closer look at the product's structure. Notice the numerous features on the sides and the two critical holes that must be aligned with three surfaces. While the overall design is straightforward, the bevels and planes require meticulous attention. In this video, we will guide you through the prototyping phase of this product. We will show you how to machine the entire outer contour to create a solid reference point. We will then use a vise to clamp and secure the part for full machining. For the fine grooves, we will add support to ensure a smooth surface. For the last two faces, we'll clamp them directly to the table to machine the full outer contour. At the end of the video, we'll share the entire machining process to provide you with a valuable reference. Welcome to Yi Jin Hardware! We are your sincere partner and a leader in the machining industry. #cncmachining

Discover the timeless art of metal shaping through sand molding. This versatile and cost-effective process used to prepare parts for Steiger machine creates a wide range of metal objects, from simple components to complex sculptures. Sand molding involves crafting a mold from sand, pouring molten metal into the cavity, and using a pattern made of wood, metal, or plastic to shape the final product. The molten metal, often aluminum, brass, or iron, solidifies in the mold's shape, and after cooling, the mold is removed to reveal the newly formed metal object. Widely used in industries like automotive, aerospace, and art, sand molding is prized for its ability to handle complex designs, making it ideal for both large-scale production and intricate custom projects. Despite its age, sand molding remains relevant in the metal casting landscape, thanks to modern technologies like computer-aided design (CAD) and advanced molding techniques. The art of sand molding continues to evolve, ensuring its enduring significance in the world of metal shaping. #SandMolding #MetalCasting #Craftsmanship #steigertextil #steiger #cixing #knittingmachine

Take a peek inside the foundry. . . typically, we do what’s called “closed mold” casting (i.e. molten metal is poured into the internal cavity of a mold, which is made up of sections that can open to allow the casting to be removed). In this video, however, we are showing an open mold. Pouring into an open mold has a useful purpose (enabling us to examine flow patterns and troubleshoot any possible issues before a product is cast), but it's also just amazing to watch! • • • #CastingMetal #MoltenMetal #MetalWork #FoundryCasting #Handcrafted #Sustainability #IronAge #IronAgeDesigns #IronAgeGrates

The machining process of #opticalglass” 1. #Milling Milling optical lense is to remove bubbles and impurities from the uneven surface of optical #glass (about 0.05-0.08) to play a shaping role. 2. Fine grinding The fine #grinding process is to eliminate the damaged layer of the milled optical glass and fix the R value. 3. #Polishing The polishing process is to polish the finely ground optical glass lens once again. This process is mainly to make the appearance better. 4. Cleaning Cleaning is to clean the polishing powder on the surface of the polished lens to prevent pressure. 5. #Edgegrinding Edge grinding is to grind the outer diameter of the original #lens to the specified outer diameter. 6. Coating #Coating is to coat the surface of the #opticallens that needs to be coated with one or more layers of colored film or other films 7. Inking Inking is to coat the outer diameter of the lens that needs to be coated with a layer of black ink to prevent reflection. 8. Gluing Gluing is to use of glue to combine two lenses with opposite R values and the same outer diameter material.
