Days 2 and 3 of the Global Enablement Conference were industrious with the 6 streams making inroads and significant progress. Focusing on specific topics and deep diving into the core elements of the conference objectives, proved essential for achieving the Group’s strategic objectives. The in-depth discussions and feedback on how to integrate each stream was invaluable and provided constructive discussions and key points to facilitate our next steps. It was an honour to hear the Group Chief Executive’s address on Day 1 of the conference providing valuable insights, vision, and guidance for the organization's direction as well as the key focus on execution. The wrap-up on Day 3 was an effective way to conclude the conference. Having each stream lead present their findings and insights in a facilitated manner supported in ensuring that the conference's goals and objectives were clearly carried over and socialised to all participants for effective understanding. The engaging discussions that followed, with a focus on generating next steps, were vital for translating ideas and strategies into actionable plans. Moreover, the commitment to measure and track the effectiveness of these next steps demonstrated a dedication to continuous improvement and accountability. What a night at Our Second Annual SuperCrue Executive Dinner in Fort Worth! Last night was not just an event; it was a celebration of community, knowledge, and growth within the E&P community. With a room packed to the brim, we had the privilege of hosting 20 top-tier energy professionals, including 14 E&P Operators and 3 OFS representatives. The powerhouse of intellect and experience at the table was nothing short of impressive and inspiring. As I sat back and observed the conversations, the dynamic exchanges of ideas, and the genuine connections being strengthened, I felt a profound sense of pride in what Crüe Club has become. What started as unstructured dinners has evolved into a thriving community, hosting events that not only connect but significantly elevate careers and personal growth in the E&P space. The discussions last night underscored a clear truth: there is a vital need for connection, for sharing knowledge and efficiencies, and for professional growth. I'm still buzzing from the opportunity to see Jude and Marcus speak 2 weeks ago. I left the event inspired about the work that we do and how to continue to push the conversations forward on how we treat and use data in our day to day work. As Dr. Marcus Collins challenged us..."We don't see the world as 'what' it is, we see the world as "WHO we are". Noodling on that will expand your horizons of how you approach the work that you do regardless of part of the 'organization' you are with. I'm left with these additional nuggets of wisdom from the talk from both Dr. Marcus Collins and Judith Carr-Rodriguez... 1 - Consumption is a CULTURAL act. 2 - Don't mistake information for intimacy. 3 - Shakespeare was right - "All the world's a stage, and we are merely [SOCIAL] actors." 4 - Stories of 'failure' generally result in stories of innovation. 5 - Don't confuse kindness with weakness. 6 - Good storytelling and creativity is 'messy' - it is likely clear at the beginning, messy in the middle and magical by the end. 7 - The messy middle is necessary! 8 - Sometimes the obvious isn't obvious until it's pointed out. #alwayslearning #4As
