Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Ariel Maseri, the Group CMO of Renuv Holdings SDN BHD over a delightful lunch. As always, my go-to spot was the cozy Turkish restaurant right downstairs from Asia Training X’s office at Glo Damansara. In a previous post, I shared how their innovation is truly extraordinary, making a significant green impact on our environment. REBOOZ is addressing the growing gap between EV adoption and the readiness of EV facilities ⚡️ A gap that might take another decade to close⏳ With that in mind, they’re now in the midst of raising capital through a Pre-A fundraising series to fuel their expansion across Southeast Asia. InsyaAllah, Asia Training X will be supporting them on the digital marketing front, helping to attract the right investors - leading them organically into their pitch sessions. I'm pleased to share a success story in which I take pride in having contributed. 🌏 Twenty years ago, Albéa Group began developing a service business, leveraging its presence in Asia to source #packaging, accessories, and promotional items that catered to its Western customers' needs, which differed from its manufacturing capabilities. When PAI Partners acquired Albéa in 2018, this business line was such a minor part of its revenues and profit that it wasn't even highlighted in the sale process marketing material. 💄 Six years later, this business, now rebranded as Innovative Beauty Group (IBG) has transformed significantly in both form and scale. From jointly defining our M&A strategy, screening suitable targets, and approaching business owners with the IBG value proposition to negotiating and finalizing deals, as well as seeking new shareholders. 🤝 The three acquisitions completed in recent years— Orchard Custom Beauty, FASTEN - Innovative Beauty Packaging, and Roberts Beauty—have been pivotal in establishing IBG as it exists today: an extensive global #network with 10 offices across three continents and 300 employees acting as a true value-added partner, providing local expertise to over 200 customers. 🚀 With the support of its new shareholder, Fremman Capital, IBG is now taking flight on its own.
