On Tuesday, February 13th at 10:30AM, we are pleased that Joel Beatty, MD, CFA of Baird is hosting a Discovery Series to share the unique trial design of our Phase 2 program and why #neuroinflammation is important in Alzheimer's. Christopher (CJ) Barnum PhD, Malú Gámez Tansey and RJ Tesi will cover key topics – first, they will provide an update on the unique features of the Company’s ongoing blinded, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase II trial for Early Alzheimer's disease (MCI/Mild AD). Additionally, the group will highlight the role and consequences of neuroinflammation and how #Xpro1595 in neutralizing soluble TNF and preserving transmembrane TNF function decreased neuroinflammation (decreased inflammatory cytokines in the CFS and decrease White Matter Free Water in white matter tracts), decreased neurodegeneration (46% decrease in pTau217; 84% decrease in NFL), improved synaptic function and promoted remyelination of axons in our Phase 1 program. The review article published in the prestigious Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) 20th anniversary issue in December further states that antiplatelet therapy plays a critical role in the prevention and treatment of major cardiovascular diseases triggered by thrombosis. Dispelling the myth that we're far from understanding MPN progression, MPN Research Foundation is at the forefront, driving collaboration across institutions to unlock the mysteries of MPN progression to acute myeloid leukemia (AML).  One of our funded Thrive initiatives, led by Dr. John Crispino in partnership with co-PI, Dr. Ayalew Tefferi of Mayo Clinic, and esteemed collaborators Drs. In 2000, the MPN Research Foundation (MPNRF) catalyzed a transformative shift in MPN research by funding the initial work that led to discovery of the CALR mutation.
