Exciting news! Forbes Magazine published a photo of our The Andrew Goodman Foundation Pace Votes team at Pace University. The article discusses how crucial college students' input is to election outcomes. Our team worked hard this past fall semester to register 160+ students to vote. We gave presentations in 15+ freshmen courses, educating students about voting rights and civic engagement, and encouraging them to cast their ballots in local elections. We are still pushing for students to participate in civic engagement and cast votes in the approaching presidential election as the spring semester begins.
Future generations' ability to practice democracy is significantly strengthened by the knowledge provided by our educational institutions. Promoting student organizations is one way that students can become involved, like our team at the Center for Community Action & Research (CCAR).
This semester, I look forward to continue my advocacy work with the The Andrew Goodman Foundation to educate more students on their voting rights, empower students to become more civically engaged, and register more students for the general presidential election.
