Preparing for this situation below is part of our operational strategy. Whether it be a power outage, active shooter situation, medical emergency, etc. we have protocols and processes. But it’s not enough to have processes written in a manual. Ongoing training and practice is critical to preparation and execution. These physical trainings are part of our onboarding process and are scheduled throughout the year to ensure we know exactly what to do in each situation and remain calm. 1. A sobering read on the impact a lack of affordable housing has on education, and how one City School District is making innovative investments to expand housing options for teachers. 2. At average salaries of $48,000 a year, our families of teachers, police officers and fire fighters qualify for Low Income Housing Tax Credit units in the overwhelming majority of cities and right here in the #CityofTulsa. 3. Financing affordable housing development in mixed-income communities = core workforce housing in our cities and towns.

Future Steps continues to help reduce offending and criminal activity in the North East of England. It’s been a fantastic 18 months now for me working with Thirteengroup; here are some of my achievements so far: 19 offenders sourced properties who were homeless or facing homelessness. 3 have completed training courses and are now qualified in HGV driving/ Railway Engineering/ Road Surfacing and now in new employment. 24 successful Furniture grants 11 Successful PIP claims 10 new photo ID sourced A total of £101k of monies gained for 50+ service users. In short, many lives changed and given a second opportunity in our society. I’ve worked with people on the streets, in hostels, sofa surfacing, living off basic universal credit with debts and fine deductions and so much more. Future steps is not just giving people a second chance but restoring people’s self esteem and self worth. I’ll post some case studies documenting some individual cases in the near future.
