Hello, my name is Mario Rodriguez from the author of right above. I want to thank you for making your purchase. I promise you. It's going to be well worth it. So. Let's go ahead and dive in. This is rise above. Disciplines for breaking Addictions. Overcoming the presence and unlocking high performance. Now the first chapter we're going to go into is the beginning of change, which is awareness. So do you constantly find yourself wishing that you weren't living your life and wishing somebody elses do see strangers walking by said God. I wish you don't even know what they're going through. You wish you could be living there. You walk around with feelings of being embarrassed, being ashamed, just everything you're going through, things you're putting your family through. These are all things that. Have for a long time kept you down. Well, now we're going to use those feelings. We're going to use them. To bring you up. So the first thing that you're going to have to understand is none of your addictions. None of the stuff that you're going through. Manifested out of nowhere. And the truth is, the majority of stuff starts when we're babies. I have kids. If anybody watching this, that's kids, they're going to understand what I'm about to say. Which is, it makes me cry sometimes when I'm having these great moments with them, because I sometimes forget that they're not going to remember most of these. I'm gonna remember. And there's a certain sadness in them that they just won't. I know they're going to have the the feeling of love that's gonna always stay with them, but. That's something that we never think about when we're going through a depression, we're going through addiction, which is. We tend to say, oh, it's, it's, it's somehow this is happening because of me. But the truth is, you know, we need to remember that a lot of these things did start when we were babies. We saw people that we looked up to. Drinking. Going through things not in the best way. And then we just don't remember these things, we don't remember these things. And then we grow up and then we start doing the exact same thing and we think we're the first ones to do it, then all of a sudden. Which is which? Start to think that we're just this terrible person. And that's just not the truth. So. And I apologize. I want to keep this on one. Video So. Now. The other thing we have to remember is. We we get programmed our young age, we get programmed by going to school. We get programmed by stuff that we see on TV. All these things tend to set it up for later on in life to almost fail, so we're going to go into the next chapter, which is identifying your paint vehicle. Umm. So most have one dominant addiction, a dependable source of a quick and familiar high. Short pleasure and lasting pain. It's made you feel powerless, flawed, But there's hope. There's a formula built and disciplines. First, we're going to identify the vehicle driving your misery. So whether it's alcohol, food, shopping or inertia. Don't run away and don't ignore it. Face it head on. Because real change only going to come when you push past that initial barrier of resistance. Don't resist. Don't associate your identity to it anymore. Good or bad? I no longer drink. I've been sober for two years, but truthfully, I just don't identify as a drinker anymore. I don't think of myself as an alcoholic, so I don't drink anymore. I just don't. Find any purpose for me to want to drink. So that's that's a big part of identifying what your main what's holding you down, so then you can start separating yourself from that identity. You have to learn to really hate it. You have to really learn to hate if it's drinking, if it's a needle, if it's whatever it is. You have to learn to really think about all the people that are being affected, all the people that you're having to say no to that. You can't afford that. You can't do this. You can't do that. Because in the end, regardless of what you tell other people, you know what the truth is. You know that it all comes back to whatever your addiction, whatever your whatever's holding you down mentally. It's affecting everybody else too, whether you like it or not, and it's time that you. Learn to take all that. All that aggression you have towards yourself and put it towards that thing. That your. You're going out and buying and standing in line for and waiting and. You know, really, really use that pain because that's going to help you once. You decided to say, OK, enough is enough, which hopefully is today. That you look at it and you say you know what? Screw you. So just by doing what we've done right now, which is understanding that A. Again, a lot of the things you're doing, you learned them and you don't remember learning them. Be that you understand what it what you are truthful and honest to yourself what it is that you're doing the first thing that you need to do to stop. That you know it's going to make the biggest change in your life. Because guess what? Once you stop that big thing. There's a good chance that the little things that you know you should be doing also just quickly disappear. So it's time to say goodbye to the old you. But you also have to thank yourself for what you've got to do. Don't hate yourself. Understand that everything that happened. Happened as a result of things that have happened generations before you. It's not your parents fault, your grandparents fault time, your great grandparents fault. However, you've now been assigned this big pain that only you now can change the way things go. I was able to change a lot of things that my kids out. As as much as I'll try to prevent them to have to deal with any sort of trauma, at least I know that there's a lot of them that they don't. They're not even aware of. That. I was that was a regular for me, so. So now we're going to go ahead and start activating the change. So the main thing to understand at this point is that you are not broken. That's what you have to realize more than anything, that it really isn't you. So just the truth is, you and everybody else has been programmed with the wrong mental software. So now we're going to learn the disciplines that are going to help you change. Change quickly and hopefully change today. They were for me. Dave worked for some of the closest people that I know and this is the reason why I'm doing this now. So the first one that. I had to get very. Had to get very honest about where I was at. Was God. I started my own my own prayer with God when I was 30. The first time I hit my first rock bottom, I guess you could say. But it was really in the last two years that I. I I started searching for him as opposed to just going through the motions. So. Your relationship with him is not only paramount in his world, but it's the only thing that will truly matter when facing adversity head on down the road. Drinking Benjani procrastinating won't even cross your mind because you and sure got this. Place all your faith in him as you embark on your new life seeking his guidance daily. Begin or reconnect with your relationship with him. Remember, just returning to him isn't enough. You must learn his word and live by the principle. You gotta remember, our God, our Creator, made us in His image, our purpose in key to peace and joy, in living as two, principled creation and helping our fellow mankind. Also, God requires us requires us to be fruitful and multiply, to pass wisdom and prosperity onto our future generations. Most people misconstrue that God wants us to be poor, but poverty struggles often stem from childhood mental program. God desires to prosperity for you. Begin reading the Bible. Learn the word of God through the stories told him. You will be blown away, however green and everlasting these stories are. You will be surprised how quickly you start finding answers for some of the questions you've had for so long. God wants us to be wealthy and every sense of the word, but because of this financial independency and literary literacy. Is the next discipline you're going to have to focus on. So financial literacy. Perhaps some people aren't going to like that I put this right after God, but if and if everyone's being honest with themselves. That's the one thing we think about all the time. Because the majority of us just don't have enough. Ever. Reason why is because we're brought up to not know what. Finances. Wealth. What these things really mean? The best we're taught is to save. That's just. A joke?To view or add a comment, sign in
