Probably the oddest flight ops, in our opinion, goes to state-owned Aeroflot. On the thrice-daily rotation from Moscow to Dubai, the airline sends its crew one-way to a hotel with all-inclusive catering for a flight time of less than 5 hours. Even on longer flights, such as from Europe to the Canary Islands, crews fly direct returns. The only recognizable purpose is to maintain morale in the war economy, because there is not much left of the popular layovers. Only a few destinations in friendly or ignoring countries can still be flown to: Mahé, Male, Thailand, China or Dubai. The task was how to utilize maximum crew and invent new layovers? So this destination is probably a popular bathing, eating and drinking destination for the 738 and 777 crews at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the heart of Dubai with comparatively low duty time and all inclusive club lounge access. #flightops #aeroflot #crewmorale

These ATC slots are allocated times for take-offs, landings, and passing through certain airspaces to manage air traffic flow and ensure safety, which is always our top priority. During a discussion at the Air Service World Congress 2024, Managing Director of Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL) Ibrahim Shareef talked about plans of seaplane operations during the night. Seaplanes operations are generally not conducted at night due to several challenges and safety concerns. At night, the lack of natural light makes it difficult for pilots to see obstacles in the water, such as floating debris, other vessels, or even marine life. Unlike airports, which are equipped with runway lights and other navigation aids, water bodies typically lack such infrastructure, making it harder for pilots to navigate safely. Landing on water requires precise judgment and visual cues, which are significantly reduced at night. At present even VFR operations in Maldives is not allowed in night. You do things for your spouse, children, parents, siblings, and friends without expecting anything in return. This should also apply to clients. When you've earned a client (s) trust, they will turn to you for things you do not provide. That's okay; help lead them in the right direction. This may involve you reaching out on their behalf. Time is the only cost to you, but it shows the client that you understand their needs and that you know how to service and be of service. Not every interaction with a client or potential client is about you and the bottom line for you. Service in the United States needs to improve. We have trained all aspects of a business to be transactional. If I do this for you, what will you do for me? This has become the benchmark and no longer allows the individual to be patient with a client.
