Since 2020, #Chloé SAS has published its Gender Equality Index for France. Overall, the Chloé SAS headquarters scored 99/100 for 2023. The Gender Equality Index is calculated against five performance indicators, they are: 1. Pay gap (in %): 39/40 2. Differences in individual raises (in %): 20/20 3. Promotion gap (in %): 15/15 4. Percentage of employees receiving a raise on return from maternity/adoption leave: 15/15 (100% of employees received a raise) 5. Number of female employees among the 10 highest earners: 10/10

Audemars Piguet’s new CEO hasn’t just inherited big shoes to fill, but a white desk so large she could host Christmas dinner around it. Speaking from her office in the sleepy Swiss village of Le Brassus, former Procter & Gamble executive Ilaria Resta suggests that the luxury watchmaker may need to pump the brakes before moving ahead: After revenues tripled during the past decade under predecessor François-Henry Bennahmias, reaching 2.3 billion Swiss francs ($2.6 billion) last year, Resta may stop the clock on rapid growth. “It is not my objective to keep the growth of the past,” Resta said. “I’m here with another mandate, which is to solidify the company for long-term independence. S’il fallait une fois encore démontrer le génie créatif dans la mode, les élèves de l’Institut Français de la Mode en ont donné un bel exemple pour le lancement de la Fashion Week. Ils ont du génie. Ils ont le savoir-faire. Ils ont le talent. À nous de faire de ces créateurs un atout pour la Mode et l’habillement de demain. La mode, c’est l’expression d’une culture, c’est depuis quatre siècles une partie intégrante de l’imaginaire collectif des Français. C’est aussi un secteur économique de premier plan avec près d’un million d’emplois directs et indirects répartis sur tout le territoire. Je présenterai au printemps, avec mes collègues du Gouvernement, un plan pour imaginer la première politique publique de la mode, afin de mieux accompagner les jeunes marques à fort potentiel, de renforcer la compétitivité des entreprises du secteur sur l’ensemble de la chaîne de valeur, et de relever les défis qui se posent au secteur en matière d’innovation et de transition écologique

This week, designer debuts at Chloé and Alexander McQueen will be among the most closely watched shows at Paris Fashion Week. Both Chloé’s Chemena Kamali and McQueen’s Séan McGirr have issued teaser campaigns in recent weeks that seemed to signal returns to the glory days of their respective labels. Kamali’s Chloé campaign featured a slightly retro update to its logo and a renewed focus on core values like free-spirited femininity and links to Paris. Those ideas got lost under predecessors Gabriela Hearst and Natacha Ramsay-Levi. Recalling the romance of Karl Lagerfeld’s 70s-era Chloé could help get the brand back in gear. Meanwhile McGirr’s McQueen teaser for McQueen, with its references to The Wicker Man (and a refashioned logo of its own), harkened back to the more macabre, confrontational, hard-edged mood of founder Lee, a direction that could help re-engage fashion-forward clients whose enthusiasm for Kering stablemate BALENCIAGA has cooled. Combining empowered beauty and sensuality, Gisele becomes the incarnation of the Alaïa woman. Seams follow the shape of her silhouette, embodying the sensual vision imagined by Pieter Mulier. Latex, leather and knitwear become like a second skin. Sculptural jewelry and emblematic accessories complete her looks. “Gisele possesses something very unique, an aura which seems to emanate from her. An absolute elegance. Combined to a very strong beauty. She is so powerful and graceful at the same time”, explains Pieter Mulier. “To me, she is the Alaïa woman. And she knows the House so well.
