Challenge for the creation of the Musica Senensis 2024 poster for the Agostino Agazzarri choir with the Opera della Metropolitana logo, which I would place at the top right. The choir's logo, however, goes at the top center, larger than that of the Opera, because it is the association that organizes. The file would be used to print 70x100 cm posters and also to circulate it on social media, via Whatsapp etc. The graphics could be simple, classic, in which it is important that the text is easily readable even from afar.

Arias come in different shapes and sizes but in essence they are ‘songs’ in an opera and are used by the composer to communicate what characters are thinking and feeling. Many arias are lyrical and not unique to opera, as they also appear in oratorios, cantatas, and other vocal genres. In Conversation focuses on some of the well known and best lived arias in the operatic repertoire https://lnkd.in/gJ7XBvx9

Sadly, for most of the UK opera watching or indeed just listening is viewed, like fox hunting, as for toffs only. Hence the current malaise… Opera’s decline SIR – Nicholas Kenyon’s penetrating analysis of the continuing decline of opera in Britain (Arts, March 12) lays bare the relationship between economics and cultural values. However, to put it simply, if opera lovers are alienated by productions, they won’t pay for seats. Increasing subsidies simply extend the life of a doomed system. Once a regular attender of performances, I now rarely go to an opera house. This is attributable to the emergence and dominance of what is benignly referred to as “director’s opera”. This means that every work has to be reinterpreted according to the socio-political or psychoanalytic whims of the director. The photograph that accompanied Mr Kenyon’s article, showing the Welsh National Opera’s current production of Death in Venice, a work I love, would lead me to strike it off the list of productions that I’d otherwise be motivated to attend. The first step in arresting this tragic decline is to stage productions that opera-lovers actually want to see. But opera companies don’t seem to have grasped this.
