Really enjoyed our conversation with Michele C. Meyer-Shipp, Esq., SHRM-SCP (she/her/ella) yesterday when we talked about the challenges facing many women in the workplace. We have certainly come a long way, but there is still a lot of work to do when it comes to creating policies and processes that create environments where people are able to bring their best to work every day. Let’s face it, women still bear the brunt of caregiving responsibilities and that can make it more challenging to perform at work (or even remain in the workforce). Inclusive organizational design simply makes business sense. #WeContainWhatMatters https://lnkd.in/dbcpsMKq

Agreed there are many challenges for women in the workforce. More and more companies ask us to help with their diversity plans by including women in the shortlists. I then ask how many female graduates or apprentices did they employ 20 years ago. Most say women were not interested then. They were companies were not. Now the few companies that did adopt diversity then have made it possible to find great female talent. But companies have to look in the mirror and realise the impact their lack of diversity in the passed has had on finding female senior Managment and specialists. As a female business leader in headhunting of senior Managment this is something that has been at the forefront of our policy for 27 years. Rant over
