Learn Latin immersively with master teachers Michael Kopf and Conor Stark. Through constant exposure to extended passages of well-written Latin, students learn to read the language without the need of translation. The active practice of both speaking and writing in Latin helps students to progress rapidly in fluency and comprehension. CLRC Immersive Latin classes use Hans Orberg’s Lingua Latina — the world’s premier series for learning Latin through the natural method. In CLRC’s immersive Latin classes, students learn grammar and vocabulary intuitively through extended contextual reading. Students encounter Latin as a natural language and develop basic skills in reading, writing, comprehending and speaking. This "active" approach to language learning empowers many students to attain a deeper level of mastery more quickly. Immersive classes are available for both Middle School and High School students. https://lnkd.in/giPgveC9 #classicaleducation #homeschooling #homeschoolmom #Latin #LanguageLearning #ClassicsCourses #ClassicalStudies #ImmersiveLatin #LinguaLatina

We’re at the final stages of building an online course ‘The Silent Way - a practical introduction’. The course will introduce 21st Century practice in the Silent Way. The course will be for anyone who wants to change how they teach foreign languages. It includes new ways: • to teach pronunciation – by focusing on how students use their muscles rather than their ears • to teach grammar – by using it to tie together real situations and the language needed to talk about them • to teach the spoken language – by avoiding textbooks and worksheets and instead simply getting students to speak well about what they want to say • to work with students at every level from complete beginners, to intermediate and advanced The course will contain 35 lessons covering Language, Learning, Teaching, and Putting it into practice. It will include 32 video clips showing teachers at work in real classes with real students. We’ll be publishing two versions of the course. One in English and the other in French. We’ll be beta testing starting in September. Watch this space!

✨Syntax✨ is crucial for understanding complex texts and academic language. At OL&LA, we’ve added the syntax and writing module to our course to help educators enhance their instructional practices. Children typically master their primary language's syntax by kindergarten. Our module builds on this, teaching educators how to develop higher levels of syntactic awareness, essential for reading comprehension and writing. This is especially important for multilingual learners and speakers of different English varieties, as their native grammar may differ from English syntax, and explicit instruction in English syntax empowers these learners to navigate complex texts and grasp the academic language across various subjects. 🥦🥩 “If you're thinking about your body, having good health with good meat, fruit, and vegetables, I feel like for your mind, Latin is like that. It lays a wonderful foundation for a lot of English grammar comprehension, literacy and many, many other things. It kind of connects all of our subjects together in a way you can always find some connection back to Latin, in my opinion. From what I've seen, even just with science, the classification system is all in Latin, and that's a worldwide classification system for scientists. So then everybody in the science community knows what we're talking about to different languages, mathematics, rectangle triangles. Those words all connect back to Latin and even the word calculus. That word means pebble in Latin. They used to use pebbles and things and rocks for weights and measuring way back when. I can find connections pretty much in any subject back to Latin. And so that really is also just at the very base of things. There's no better way of learning English grammar than learning Latin.” Want to learn more about the student experience at VSA and how/why we introduce young learners to Latin and what the long-term benefits are? Transforming Literature Education: From Shakespeare to the 19th Century In the heart of innovation, where technology meets tradition, we've pioneered a game-changing tool for schools yet to be fully discovered. Imagine a classroom where the characters of Shakespeare and the pivotal figures from 19th-century literature step off the page and into conversation with students. This vision is now a reality with our AI-driven platform. Why let Shakespeare have all the fun? Our platform extends to include characters from beloved 19th-century plays and books, offering a broad spectrum of literary exploration. It's a seamless blend of the past and the future, designed to make the classics accessible, engaging, and interactive for today's learners. Our technology offers a unique combination of ease of use and depth of engagement that is unparalleled. However, teachers still need to promote its usage in schools and by teachers. We aim to address this issue by introducing our innovative tool, which provides a simple way to make English literature education more exciting and engaging. Let's realise the potential of today before the future. Embrace this opportunity to enrich your students' learning experience with the richness of Shakespearean dramas and the depth of 19th-century literature. https://chatbooks.co.uk/ #LiteratureEducation #AIinEducation #Shakespeare #19thCenturyLiterature #InnovativeTeaching #academies #teachertraining #ai
