This week, I experienced firsthand the struggle of brick-and-mortar stores in today's market.
With news of yet another huge brand filing for bankruptcy, it's no longer surprising 🚨
📍My friend and I entered the renowned makeup store Douglas, hoping to enhance our beauty with high-end products.
Our experience, however, was far from satisfactory🚫
We waited for assistance for 20 long minutes, as almost no one was on the floor.
When help finally arrived, my experience was smooth due to my fair and easy skin.
But my friend? Not so much.
She had to try multiple brands, remove and apply makeup by herself, and deal with assistants who didn't quite understand her needs 🚩
It was shocking to see the assistant pushing shades that were clearly not suitable for her complexion and skin type🚩
It wasn't until we returned to the first assistant, who had helped me, that we found success.
🔺She patiently tried 6 different shades on my friend, offered a great consultation, and finally, we found the perfect makeup.
🔺This experience only reinforced my belief: if brick-and-mortar stores want to survive, they must prioritize excellent customer service and understand the diversity among consumers‼️
🔺It's not just about selling products, it's about understanding individual needs and providing a tailored service.
