Me: I’m overwhelmed. There’s not enough time in a day 🫠 Also Me: I would love to be a Committee Chair for the annual fundraiser! It just so happens that for me, one form of self-care is service. The non-profit I volunteer with provides long-term rehabilitative care for survivors of s*x trafficking. They have an annual gala to raise money. Something they added last year was a variety of immersive experiences. The experiences are all things the girls enjoy— tattoos, painting, ax throwing, etc. And this year I get to oversee a team to strategize and run the experiences as the Experience Freedom Committee Chair! 🤔 If you’re wondering how I make time to volunteer on top of work and parenting a child with a disability, refer to the tumbleweeds of dog hair in the corners of my house. Follow me for more time management hacks. What’s your favorite form of self-care?
I love having a monthly maintenance day (I.e. a haircut, nails, etc ~ whatever makes you feel refreshed)! I also do yoga 2 nights a week and try to get 30-45 minutes of movement a day. It’s all about time blocking for me! 🌟
Volunteering is such a trade-off...you ask yourself why on earth you agreed to devote your limited free time to it, but it's so rewarding when you step up. Congratulations on helping this tremendous cause.
Anything that’s giving you energy and inspiration back in exchange for your time is so worth the investment imo!

2moMine is exercise. While I don’t always want to do it, I definitely notice a difference in my mental state on days I don’t work out.
