Recently we've provided data on men's mental health, burnout rates amongst women in the workplace, and today we are reporting how our younger employees are experiencing difficulties of their own. Okay, but why? Well, we want our work at The Livewell Syndicate to give people a reason to act. Statistically, it is fair to say that things are not a great deal better now than before Covid, and are in fact worse in a number of areas, with further declines possible without intervention. By sharing our knowledge, we want to empower you to know why you're acting, the problems you're facing as a HR leader or business owner, and the benefits you can expect to see by implementing a solid employee health and wellbeing initiative. #BurnoutRates #EmployeeWellbeing #MentalHealthAwareness #WorkplaceCulture #LivewellSyndicate

As an individual who’s late school years were disrupted by the pandemic and replaced with Microsoft Team Calls, Kahoot Quizzes and Zoom calls, these statistics aren’t surprising to me! In recent years, the younger generation have had to learn to adapt from remote, home working life and step out into the real world of work. Don’t get me wrong, keeping busy day to day and completing each job to the best of ability is the expectation, however the reality is, it can be a huge amount of weight on many individuals shoulders.😕 Judging by these statistics, it seems that working life is affecting young people’s mental health and causing added stress that could possibly stunt their desired productivity. In order for individuals to grow within their job role they must feel supported as well as credited for the contributions their work brings to their business. For any business leaders out their, this is chance for you to take action and prevent the statistics for creeping up as we head further into 2024!🙌🏻

✅ Keynote Speaker ✅️Empowering tech companies and federal government to increase productivity by transforming their cultures into burnout-free workplaces with a proactive mental health and wellness system
Why we must prioritize and customize mental health interventions! Women's mental health needs are unique, and it's crucial that we prioritize interventions that take this into account. Due to our innate nurturing characteristics, women are more likely to experience burnout and compassion fatigue, which can have a significant impact on our mental health. This is especially true in the workplace, where women may feel pressure to put everyone else's needs before their own. As a result, it's essential to support the women in your organization by offering customized wellness workshops. In honor of Women's History Month, we're offering targeted wellness workshops designed specifically for women. But the need for these interventions extends beyond this month - it's crucial to prioritize the mental health of women in your organization year-round. If you're dedicated to supporting the mental health of the women in your workplace, reach out to us today. Together, we can create a customized plan that meets the unique needs of the women in your organization. #mentalhealth #womenshistorymonth #corporatewellness

The Conferences for Women community has spoken: 📣 #MentalHealth matters in the workplace. 📣 In fact, 97.63% of those we surveyed said health and well-being in the workplace were “extremely important” or “very important”. This first-annual 2024 Conferences for Women report, “Women and the Health & Well-being Gap in the Workplace,” is based on a survey of women’s opinions about health and well-being in the workplace conducted in February and March 2024. A total of 4,385 women responded to the survey. The vast majority of respondents identified as college-educated. Approximately 58% held positions ranging from middle management to the C-suite. Most said they were 30 years old or older. And 49 states were represented. Women were asked about how important health and well-being in the workplace are to them; how they think mental health impacts their job, and how their job impacts their mental health; how comfortable or uncomfortable they are discussing their mental health in the workplace; their perception of employers’ support for mental health and well-being; and the existence of mental health programs in the workplace, whether they use them, and their perceived effectiveness. We’ll share key takeaways throughout #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, but you can read the report in full here: https://bit.ly/3yh2jsw

Does your employer offer specific initiatives or programs to address workplace health and well-being? 82% of those we surveyed said “yes.” But 60% of women said “no” when asked if they have “ever used any mental health resources provided by your employer.” So why the discrepancy? In the 2024 Conferences for Women report “Women and the Health & Well-being Gap in the Workplace,” six common reasons were shared: 1. They feared repercussions. 1. (Tied for one) They thought the offerings were of poor quality. 3. They preferred to use private resources. 4. They said they had no time to take advantage of the offerings. 5. They said they were difficult to access or navigate. 6. They said the problem did not lie with their mental health but with the conditions of the workplace. What our community had to say about each of those reasons may surprise you. Read some of these responses, plus the full report here: https://bit.ly/3yh2jsw #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealth #WorkplaceWellness #WomenAtWork #ConferencesForWomen
