This should make it so people who don't have a quest headset can get a taste of the upcoming total eclipse on their phone, tablet, or computer in 360. also viewable in YouTube VR on any headset rather than just Oculus gear with appkey or applab. Best viewed in full 4k, if having trouble streaming slow it down to 0.25 speed help and extends video from 1min to 4min (closer to original 6.5min full video available on quest). To the shock of no one, more people are getting injured using virtual reality headsets than ever before — because, well, more people are buying them than ever before. While many VR headsets come with instructions that suggest clearing out furniture and taking breaks, and more recently have updated the in-headset grids to give users alerts when objects, people, or pets approach them, it's not hard to imagine users ignoring these sorts of features when they're in intense gameplay. The growing popularity of VR headsets has had the all-too-predictable side effect of people hurting themselves because they can't see where they're stepping, punching, or kicking when in gameplay. Safety features are integrated into the devices themselves, but the burden of cautious use rests upon the end user. Injuries range all the from a minor headache to a broken neck. I love Chet and appreciate what he did in the early days- Market distortion was 100% real However VR legs is less about acclimation and more about generation. Doom sickness was also a thing... Kids playing Gorilla Tag today have VR legs. They have grown WITH the technology. This take and the references to make the point are extremely out dated. We don't see this. It is not an informed position looking at the modern market. The youth embrace the tech and Quest market proves it. Exactly how old school PC shooters were embraced in their own era. VR legs is a generational gap- plain and simple. Some of us older can close that gap but the younger generation has no problem with it in comparison. They simply accept and enjoy spatial simulation.
