This Diaper Need Awareness Week (September 23-29), we are asking our community to help us “Wipe Out Diaper Need” in WNC with a donation of baby wipes. This is a simple ask- one pack of disposable baby wipes- but it will have a big impact. Wipes are consistently one of our biggest requests and we often do not have enough to fill orders. Wipes are essential for families to keep their children clean, dry and healthy. Giving a pack of wipes is a practical way to help a family in our community who are struggling to afford the basics for their children. We have collection sites all over Asheville (follow our social media for the current list @babiesneedbottoms) if you want to drop them off - or you can shop our Amazon Wish List or make a financial gift. The New #KinderCharacterChallenge: Send Valentines to Children's Hospital Put a smile on a child at Children's Hospital this Valentine's Day. If you go to their website, https://buff.ly/3UsFkDQ you can send a valentine to a patient. On the form, choose your valentine, and it will be printed and given to a child in the hospital. It takes about 30 seconds, and it's FREE. Once you submit it, you are presented with an option to donate. The card printer is matching donations, and again, the donation is optional. No deadline was listed for when they will stop accepting valentines, but the sooner, the better. There are many children's hospitals that are doing this, so if you have additional time, try another. Just use your favorite search engine to find Valentines for Children's Hospitals. Some allow you to write a personal message (Cincinnati does not). Our impact report for the month of April is here! First things first - it’s not just about the numbers; it's about the lives we touch. Together, we've donated 1,119 items in April, reaching out to those in need and making a tangible difference in their lives. Every donation counts, and every act of giving creates a ripple effect of positivity. This month, we received 49 donations, each one a testament to the compassion and empathy of our supporters. Though slightly fewer than March's 65 donations, the impact remains just as profound. Our efforts have directly benefitted 533 residents, providing them with essentials and necessities they may have otherwise gone without. Looking forward, we see 283 open needs as of May 6, a significant increase from the 77 in March. But with each need comes an opportunity for us to make a difference, to extend a helping hand, and to spread hope and kindness. None of this would be possible without YOU - our amazing community of donors, volunteers, and supporters. Your dedication, generosity, and passion drive our mission forward, and for that, we are endlessly grateful. 92,300 diapers. 🤯 That's how many Stepping Stone, https://buff.ly/3WEphTP, has distributed to families in need in just the first half of 2024. That's more than DOUBLE the amount from the same period last year! And here's the thing: demand continues to skyrocket. More and more families struggle to afford this basic necessity for their little ones. So, we're stepping up to help! Core Real Estate Partners is hosting our first-ever diaper and pull-up drive to support Stepping Stone's incredible mission. And that's not all!
