⁤Whilst being in Malaysia I had the opportunity to speak at the Corporate World Intelligence HR Event in Malaysia, where I discussed the exciting applications of data analytics and artificial intelligence. ⁤⁤The audience engagement was phenomenal, and we had a stimulating discussion about the numerous opportunities and challenges within this field. ⁤ ⁤ During the session, I explored how we can leverage the power of data and AI to enhance the recruitment and onboarding processes, as well as automate report generation. ⁤⁤With the audiences participation there was various issues and considerations raised by them and myself, fostering a collaborative and insightful exchange. ⁤ ⁤ Looking ahead to 2025, here are some predicted key issues and considerations within the data and AI space: ⁤ ⁤ Data and AI Issues in 2025: ⁤ ⁤ * Bias and fairness: Ensuring algorithms and data are free from bias and promote fair outcomes will remain a critical challenge. ⁤ ⁤ * Explainability and transparency: Understanding how AI models reach decisions will be crucial for building trust and addressing ethical concerns. ⁤ ⁤ * Data privacy and security: Balancing the need for data-driven insights with the protection of individual privacy will be paramount. ⁤ ⁤ * Regulation and governance: Establishing clear guidelines and regulations for the development and deployment of AI will be essential. ⁤ ⁤ Leveraging the Audience: 2025 Predictions: ⁤ ⁤ * Recruitment: Integrating AI-powered skills assessments and virtual reality simulations can streamline the recruitment process and identify top talent. ⁤ ⁤ * Onboarding: Utilising chatbots and personalised learning platforms can enhance the onboarding experience, improve knowledge retention, and accelerate new employee integration. ⁤ ⁤ Automating Reports in 2025: ⁤ ⁤ * Advanced analytics: AI-powered tools can automate data analysis, generate comprehensive reports with deeper insights, and identify trends and patterns invisible to human analysts. ⁤ ⁤ * Real-time reporting: Automated reports can be generated in real-time, enabling faster decision-making and proactive responses to changing circumstances. ⁤ ⁤ I would like to once again thank the CWIHR Event team for their outstanding hospitality and for making the entire experience truly memorable. ⁤ I hope to be back soon!

When we started this project, we knew our technology would help level the playing field, allowing people not proficient in English to participate in the storytelling. Other than English, we received stories in Indonesian Bahasa, Mandarin, Hindi. Because participants were comfortable in their own languages, they were more willing to share. Upon seeing the stories, I realized how AI could beautifully capture the essence of these narratives. This competition values how well stories are told in their native languages, rather than the proficiency in English. Using AI to rate the stories according to rubrics meant that judges didn’t have to sift through over 200 stories. AI handled the initial filtering. Although there were differences between AI ratings and judges' evaluations, the top AI-rated stories generally fell within the judges' top picks too. This alignment underscores the effectiveness of AI in the initial screening process. However, the human judges were essential in identifying the emotional depth and subtle nuances that AI might miss. IIn summary, the integration of AI not only made the storytelling competition more inclusive and efficient but also demonstrated how technology and human judgment can complement each other in evaluating the true essence of storytelling. Today I am heading to the beautiful city of Stockholm to attend the Future Talent Council annual summit. Last night on the 2nd July 2024, we had the final session of our training series for HRD Corp National Training Week, “𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗜-𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆“ and it was a transformative experience! 🎉 Led by the incredible Coach Nandagobalan Vengettasamy, we delved deep into how AI can revolutionize our workplace productivity. Here’s what we took away from the session: ✨ 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: ✔️ Participant explored how AI can revolutionize workplace efficiency and drive performance improvements. ✔️ Practical demonstrations of AI in tasks gave clear idea of how to apply these tools to daily tasks, making work more efficient. ✔️ Participant learned how to leverage AI tools effectively to boost their productivity and achieve better outcomes. ✔️ The engaging discussions and Q&A session allowed the participants to clarify any doubts and understand how AI can be tailored to elevate their productivity. This metaphor helps to convey the complexity and depth of cultural influences.
