The "Starliner" spacecraft of the US Boeing Company was launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Base in Florida on the 5th, carrying out its first manned test flight mission, carrying two US astronauts to the International Space Station.
Berkshire Hathaway, a company owned by Warren Buffett, announced that it has established a joint venture with Occidental Petroleum, one of its major holdings, to adopt Occidental Petroleum's patented Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology for the commercial production of high-purity lithium compounds.
