The Souled Store. A ghost? A ghost in a red color backdrop? Is it... is it... a ghost?? No, it is the logo of The souledstore 👻, the iconic apparel brand, that took India by the storm. And well they dragged me in the storm as well, as much as other person I love to express my love for comic book characters, superheroes movie characters as much as I can but it becomes difficult to do by buying notebooks that gets dumped in your bag and can only be seen in a classroom. What about showing your love for the characters at a party? Well that's where The Souled Store comes in. 🤿 Well let's wear our goggles and jump right into it. How did it start? Started by 4 like minded folks for the love of pop culture and hatred of 9-5 jobs. The Souled Store was founded in 2013 by Vedang Patel, Aditya Sharma, Rohin Samtaney, and Harsh Lal. Were they sure they will be successful? Nope, the co-founder of the merchandise platform said, “Worse case we are fairly smart people…we have our degrees, we will go back and get a job if this doesn’t work out. It was a very simple, naive philosophy when we started The Souled Store and the broader idea was that we were fans of superheroes, comics, movies, all these characters that we have grown up watching and loving and as fans we felt like that there weren’t viable, good-quality product available in the Indian market to buy official merchandise. So that was the broader, simple idea behind which The Souled Store was created.” Why did it work(ed)? Great designs 👻Started in 2013, when the market for online shirt companies were less, but at the sweet time when people were getting comfortable with online shopping.  👻Keeping up with the trend  👻Launching new designs every month or so 👻partnering up with famous celebrities and companies Strategies that helped Souled Store grow their revenue: 👻They have to secure licenses for selling certain merchandises. They guarantee to make the merchandise catchy and more wearable and thus this makes them to acquire the licenses for cheap. 👻Designed around the theme which is trending. Every logo or quote or character is placed on the product with a lot of passion. Marketing Strategies: Supima Collection: Only using quirkiness? Works. Using a celebrity+quirkiness?
