I would be okay with neutrality if, the situation is neutral. Instead it is a mask off moment for the whole western world when they trot out uninformed arguments and "both sides" this issue in the wake of an entire genocide. If you believe Israel has the right to defend itself then you should also believe the Palestinians should as well- instead they do not have real statehood, do not have voting rights to vote on decisions that concern them as a country in the UN, and they have no army. If Brene Brown can't see through the propaganda, then as a therapist how good is she in understanding matters of clear abuse- forget nuanced cases? And to my design community: How are we as communicators not able to see through clear propaganda: biased coverage, a separate set of words while reporting for Israel vs Palestine, repetitive strawman arguments, we literally craft communication for a living! For indian designers and illustrators, Kashmir and Manipur are burning. And Palestine burning, set fire by a global superpower will mean much tragedy for many of our people for years to come.

"Israel and the Surrender of the West" by Shelby Steele, June 2010 ...This is now—figuratively in some quarters and literally in others—the moral template through which Israel is seen. It doesn't matter that much of the world may actually know better. This template has become propriety itself, a form of good manners, a political correctness. Thus it is good manners to be outraged at Israel's blockade of Gaza, and it is bad manners to be outraged at Hamas's recent attack on a school because it educated girls, or at the thousands of rockets Hamas has fired into Israeli towns—or even at the fact that Hamas is armed and funded by Iran. The world wants independent investigations of Israel, not of Hamas. One reason for this is that the entire Western world has suffered from a deficit of moral authority for decades now. Today we in the West are reluctant to use our full military might in war lest we seem imperialistic; we hesitate to enforce our borders lest we seem racist; we are reluctant to ask for assimilation from new immigrants lest we seem xenophobic; and we are pained to give Western Civilization primacy in our educational curricula lest we seem supremacist. Today the West lives on the defensive, the very legitimacy of our modern societies requiring constant dissociation from the sins of the Western past—racism, economic exploitation, imperialism and so on. When the Israeli commandos boarded that last boat in the flotilla and, after being attacked with metal rods, killed nine of their attackers, they were acting in a world without the moral authority to give them the benefit of the doubt. By appearances they were shock troopers from a largely white First World nation willing to slaughter even "peace activists" in order to enforce a blockade against the impoverished brown people of Gaza. Thus the irony: In the eyes of a morally compromised Western world, the Israelis looked like the Gestapo. This, of course, is not the reality of modern Israel. Israel does not seek to oppress or occupy—and certainly not to annihilate—the Palestinians in the pursuit of some atavistic Jewish supremacy. But the merest echo of the shameful Western past is enough to chill support for Israel in the West. The West also lacks the self-assurance to see the Palestinians accurately. Here again it is safer in the white West to see the Palestinians as they advertise themselves—as an "occupied" people denied sovereignty and simple human dignity by a white Western colonizer. The West is simply too vulnerable to the racist stigma to object to this "neo-colonial" characterization....

Western Democracy’s Future Depends on Israel’s Victory - WSJ, by Gerard Baker If the Jewish state can be bullied into letting Hamas survive, how can any free nation defend itself? If Israel is prevented from defeating Hamas, we should be under no illusions about what it will mean for the future of democracy. If, under the pressure of internal Democratic politics and global public opinion, the Biden administration forces a “cease-fire” that leaves our closest ally in the region short of victory over an enemy that seeks to destroy it, sooner or later we shall all pay the price. This isn’t only because Israel is a democratic nation fighting nihilist savages and theocratic tyrants, though it is that. It is because forcing it to succumb to moral outrage over the violence that invariably comes with waging war would represent the self-imposition of an inescapable restraint on our own ability to defend ourselves. Of course Israel is battling, above all else, for its own survival. In a hostile region, it is also the sole standard-bearer of individual freedom, tolerant pluralism and self-rule. Contrast the condition of ethnic minorities, women, gays and dissidents in Israel with that of their counterparts anywhere else in the Middle East. We should give thanks every day for the sacrifices Israelis make at the fragile frontier of freedom. Condemning and isolating our only real friend and ally in the Middle East will leave in place the people who perpetrated the Oct. 7 massacre and their sponsors. If this is the way we fight modern wars, our enemies will have freedom to commit acts of bestial savagery on us, knowing that our own scruples will give them an insuperable advantage. “I cannot believe the incomprehensible and ludicrous behavior of American politicians amidst the clear and incontrovertible evidence of Israel’s war crimes as recently confirmed by the International Court of Justice in The Hague.” Given that when PM Netanyahu and his fascist IDF along with Israel’s right wing Zionist Military Ministry are convicted and sentenced, America is legally exposed for conviction of “Aiding and Abetting” as well as “Co-Conspiracy” to commit multiple war crimes. The Nazis had enough morality to know what they were doing was wrong, so they tried to hide it. While Israel lacks the most basic fundamentals of morality that they are committing this genocide in front of the entire world. And what's even worse, is that while Israel has indoctrinated their citizens by manipulating education, restricting the truth, and raising a culture built upon a superiority complex in order to mold extremists with terroristic tendencies absent of humanity... We see that an unacceptable amount of people around the world whom have not been raised in such brainwashing circumstances, still lack the most basic understanding of morality. And that, is extremely terrifying... That inability for fellow parents to practice empathy as grown adults raising the future of this world... To step outside of privileged safety and security to question, "What if it were my child under the rubble?" That unwillingness of human beings with the divinely gifted capacity fit to invent, evoke change, solve problems, unify, and create... To even be bothered enough by the slaughter of thousands upon thousands to do research, to uncover the truth, to question propaganda, to speak up, to protest, to sign a petition. That hypocrisy of "God fearing" believers whom selectively weaponize His Word to back a one-sided double standard narrative... To justify actions that directly violate the Commandments He gave us, and thus the very religious values they claim to honor. This is a time of trial. Not just for Israel, but the world. Instead, they have watched with amazement and concern as the mobs engaging in antisemitic invective have been defended or rationalized in mainstream liberal media like The New York Times and MSNBC as idealists or, at worst, emotional kids whose actions are an understandable reaction to Israeli atrocities. In doing so, those who are taking this line aren’t just repeating and spreading Hamas propaganda and blatant falsehoods. They are accepting the premise that opposition to the existence of the one Jewish state on the planet is somehow the natural political position of those who call themselves progressives." Those who remain seduced by "progressivism" need to wake up before it's too late. The overt Jew-hatred remains tolerated if not acceptable among the wider left.

"I believe the battle of Rafah is unnecessary and may be very costly for the invaders in terms of lives and war materials. That's why I am calm knowing with certainty the Western double standard (I refer only to governments) and the necessary collaboration of all Arab countries with the invader. Also, the Western world, according to Carter, who signed the Camp David treaty, clearly stated that they are not interested in democracy in the Arab world, but in dictators for the sake of Israel, as a Christian. Now we understand why Israel is above the decisions of the UN. All of the West, Israel, and Arab monarchs (many of them of Jewish origin) want to prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah. It's curious that Jews believe that the Virgin Mary had an affair with a Roman soldier and that he is the result of adultery, while Christians believe he is the son of a virgin. But Jews seek another Messiah for the temple and Jewish governance in all countries of the world, and they are especially using the American church to carry out their mission. That's why we see this blind support for this artificial being in this area. Absolute loyalty to a people without a map because they will devour all their Arab puppet governors, and they are in a hurry because we are in the last years of this people on this earth, if 80 years maximum according to their beliefs, and we will see a different world, but better than a world condemned by Vladimir Putin, who is no saint, to thousands of punishments, but does not move against Israel, which is untouchable, it kills more... thousands of children, but what a pity their eyes are not blue. Journalists should not be killed or imprisoned, but Israel does whatever it wants and not a peep. This world is hypocritical, except for a few protesting in universities, and this is our future.
