Human trafficking is not a rare crime—it’s a global issue affecting millions of people every year. Despite its widespread impact, trafficking often remains hidden, making it hard to grasp the full extent of the problem. Traffickers use fear, manipulation, and secrecy to exploit vulnerable individuals, leaving many victims suffering in silence. At Magdalena’s Daughters, we are dedicated to bringing this hidden crime into the light. Through advocacy, education, and direct support, we fight every day to protect survivors and prevent future exploitation. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to continue our mission. Visit https://lnkd.in/g_hh4n7w to learn more about how we are making a difference and how you can support our efforts. Together, we can create a future where no one falls victim to trafficking. #HumanTraffickingAwareness #EndHumanTrafficking #Humantrafficking #MagdalenasDaughters #sextrsfficking

Human trafficking is a devastating issue that affects millions worldwide, and the statistics are staggering. Each year, approximately 700,000 women are trafficked, with half of them being children. This means that hundreds of thousands of young lives are torn apart, exploited, and subjected to unimaginable horrors. It's crucial that we raise awareness, support survivors, and work tirelessly to end this global crisis. Every individual can make a difference in combating human trafficking, whether through education, advocacy, or supporting organizations that fight against this heinous crime. Yesterday, the EU adopted the revised #EUAntiTraffickingDirective, a major win for #childrights advocacy. Key amendments include transparent referral mechanisms, expanded protection for vulnerable children, specialised support, comprehensive victim assistance, and prevention strategies. The Directive also highlights the link between child institutionalisation and trafficking. We commend the EU institutions for having included our suggested amendments, and look forward to the implementation of the Directive, continuing to advocate to ensure that every child is protected against #childtrafficking: https://buff.ly/3WYTuh3
