As a follow up to our Newfront presentation, today we launched new generative AI features to help advertisers unlock their full potential. Now, with full image and text generation features in Advantage+ creative, advertisers can easily create ads faster and maximize performance gains.    Huge thanks to Wesley Ng from CASETiFY and Scott Kramer from AS Beauty Group for joining me and John Hegeman to share their experience using the Meta Advantage suite and our new generative AI tools. Casetify and AS Beauty are both living the “creative is the new targeting” mindset and using AI to create content that reflects their diverse customer bases.    Casetify is using our background generation tool to create variations of ads quickly and they saw a 13% increase in their return on ad spend when they combined this feature with Advantage+ shopping campaigns. AS Beauty is using another one of our generative AI tools, text variation, to create ads that speak to their diverse customer base.   Now is the time to act on AI and use these tools as the foundation of your marketing strategy, and I’m looking forward to watching how Wes and Scott continue to lead the industry ahead of our next AI-powered holiday season, which will be here before we know it.

The FIRST data point YouTube looks at when a video is uploaded is the CTR (click-through ratio). I view Bard the little AI that tries but isn't quite there. *HOWEVER* they are owned by Google and Google owns YouTube. Bard is a fantastic tool to figuring out what the average CTR is in your niche. This is the number you need to beat. So for my YouTube channel (check it out at 'Movie Talk Now'), I'm in the movie discussion niche. So according to Bard, the average CTR is 2-5%. So for every 100 people, about 3 people will choose to watch the video. My recent video has an 8.8% CTR which is a good reason why it's performing well. The next data point is RETENTION/watch time that Youtube looks at to decide how many times it will show your video to others. I will cover that tomorrow! #YoutubeMarketing #VideoMarketing

When I was selling ads at Google, blocked creative literally took millions off my book’s revenue. Images didn’t fit aspect ratios or just didn’t perform. Seemingly small wording changes or variant additions that no one had time for often added 10+% to performance and made the difference between success and failure. Not to mention needing to have visuals and copy match a company brand and a vibe for a particular campaign, and being stuck when even high quality creative wasn’t quite right. I used to stay up late after my wife went to bed working on wording variants for my clients. I’d help them sift through stock images that kinda fit, or work with a vendor team in India to get them something at least a bit custom. I would’ve loved to show my clients this GenAI toolkit and spend my time helping them understand what to do with it and how we can shift strategy after their new ads start killing it. This is the innovation I love to see with GenAI - not super flashy, not super surprising - just a real need that never had a good solution, now being addressed at scale. [PS I know the video is a bit heavy on pitch, but still I think it’s worth celebrating solid execution to solve a real problem]
