Today, February 26th 2024 at 02:26, our final aircraft landed for the final time. As we ceased operations, we spent the final days dedicated to getting as many passengers and our staff to where they needed to be. We want to thank the community of passengers, staff, and Lynx fans around the world who have shown just how much love was built around Lynx Air. To our partners and competitors, we appreciate your support for both passengers and staff as we bid farewell to the skies. The challenges we faced were not ours alone, and we hope air travel in Canada can continue to be accessible to Canadians and beyond. We are profoundly proud of the connections we made possible, whether it was a grandmother able to see her grandchildren more often, a new family able to take that first vacation, or a solo traveler having a reliable choice in travel. The stories of our community will be the paw prints we leave behind as we head off into the sunset. Thank you all, Dauntless (Lynx Air) 🐾❤️✈️ #FlyLynx 📷: 1) @metricaviation 2) @planesupnorth 3) @401aidan 4) Lynx Air 5) @krm_aviation 6) @stage2aviation

It’s sad news for the employees, but let’s call it what it is….. a bad business model. Their fares were so low that they couldn’t keep the business afloat. People expect the government to bail them out, but in reality the airline industry in Canada is running on such thin margins, not everyone will survive. At least Lynx gave everyone a heads up, unlike other low cost airlines…..

Sad that the Canadian government prioritizes supporting Air Canada and our car industry but can’t support lower fare carriers

Always sad to see an airline go. Airlines are meant to be for the skies and not the ground 💔

That is nice to say, but terribly misleading. Lynx left my family and I stranded in Arizona with no information and no way to get home. Some warning would have been nice so we didn’t have to pay $3000.00 and have to drive to another state to get home. I am sorry but saying that you are there for the customers and family, that is completely false. A lot more could be have been done to support your loyal customers during this difficult time. Oh wait I’m sorry….ANYTHING could have been done to support your customers. Lynx Air you should be ashamed.

It really is heart wrenching as a Canadian to watch this. I know you'll all land on your feet, as all cats do. But we aren't better off without you and the additional competition in the market.
