Recent Construction Management Graduate | Aspiring Construction Estimator & Quantity Surveyor | Passionate About Precision, Cost Efficiency & Project Success | Ready to Add Value with Fresh Perspectives & Dedication
I just completed John Holland Australia's Civil Engineering job simulation on Forage. It was a great opportunity to get some experience about civil engineering works in Australia. This was my first job simulation, and I am excited to participate in more in the future. This one, in particular was provided by Forage is completely free. In this job simulation I completed the following tasks: 1. Completed a job simulation working across a range of construction tasks including a new bridge, high-rise, and rail. 2. Calculated the volumes of concrete for pile caps and abutments for a bridge and compared subcontractor rates. 3. Compared two building drawings to identify differences and arranged tasks in the correct sequencing order. Here is the link for interested candidates about civil engineering job simulation: https://lnkd.in/gFii9kZa #civilengineering, #jobsimulation ,#JohnHolland, #forage

Hydrogeologist || Geophysical Surveyor and Geo-Data Analyst || Drilling and Borehole Logging Expert || Solid Mineral Identification Expert || Geological Content Writer and Volunteer
The Geologist and Structures (Civil) The way the system works in the construction sector is such that the major professionals in the fore of every structural element are the civil engineers. The system collapses the entire edifice and it's building process from scratch into this class of professionals so much that in the face of thinking ""I need to own a structure"" be it commercial, industrial, residential or human day to day use structural elements like roads, bridges etc. Allow me bring to you that the thought collapsed on us as civil engineers (speaking for these professionals now, i'm not a civil engineer), in the real sense indulges highly our expertise but the structure erection sometimes does not begins and ends with us. Understand that there is a flow from the Architects, Structural engineers, Geotechnical engineers Surveyors, Q.S, Masons, etc. However the Civil engineers still maintain their stand in process as the fore front professionals. More importantly is the fact that they cannot function in the stead of the Geologist experienced in the Geotechnical aspect of subsurface investigations for foundation design especially if in sensitive locations or for sensitive structures. The result of collapsing all the function to the Civil engineer is a structure built as a durable time bomb. 😂 ★★★★★★ 😎 Seeing me here for the first time? I am Messiah Ufort, an unconfined Geologist.
