Our latest research leverages AI to improve the design of custom lasers for applications such as quantum sensing. We implement intelligent methods to predict the optical response of Bragg gratings within semiconductor ridge waveguides by refining simulation accuracy, utilizing AI algorithms with limited data, and constructing databases effectively. 📊🔬 Accurate simulations are crucial for database generation, and we’ve employed 3D FDTD simulations to ensure precision. To manage the computational demands, we identified AI algorithms capable of precise predictions despite limited data – with XGBoost outperforming other models in our studies.
