Over these years, I have realised that first generation lawyers often perform better than the generational lawyers because of the following two reasons:- (1) Many first-generation lawyers have had to overcome significant hurdles to enter the legal profession, such as financial constraints, lack of connections, or societal barriers. This experience often translates into a strong work ethic, resilience, and a commitment. (2) First-generation lawyers understand the importance of building their own reputations and client bases. As a result, they may be more focused on providing exceptional service, building strong client relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction.
