On July 16-17, 2024, the Hydrogen Education for a Decarbonized Global Economy (#H2EDGE) program hosted a dynamic in-person workshop at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. The event, "Connect the Dots: Linking Hydrogen Education to Workforce Development Needs", brought together over 70 key stakeholders from academia, industry, labor associations, government, and beyond. The workshop set out to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and discuss effective strategies for advancing #hydrogen #education and #workforce development. We were honored to hear from distinguished speakers who shared their insights on education programs, workforce development, and cutting-edge research in the hydrogen sector. Panel discussions provided critical insights into workforce gaps, upskilling and reskilling needs, community and labor engagement, and strategies for recruitment and retention. We also highlighted the pivotal role of HBCUs, community colleges, and technical schools in preparing the next generation of hydrogen professionals. Student perspectives were also highlighted, featuring experiences from the University of Delaware and Denmark Technical College. Stay tuned for our key takeaways and a summary document, which will be available soon on the H2EDGE website (https://lnkd.in/eknPr7nc).

🎥OUT NOW: Expert Interview with trainer Dr John Massey In anticipation of his online training course, Green Hydrogen Projects, Dr John Massey spoke to World Hydrogen Leaders CEO Nadim Chaudhry about hydrogen technology, the intersection with policy, economics and the development of new projects and much more! 💬"With hydrogen, it's really just at the start; it's emerging rather than mature, as a sector... This year will be the year when projects actually start to get signed off, and built." 💬"Most people would have looked at 2023 and thought probably that it didn't line up to the hype of 2022 in terms of things getting built, but a few things happened last year. In Europe, for example, the definition of renewable hydrogen finally got signed off in the middle of the year. We finally, just before christmas, in the US, got the final suggestionof how they're going to define renewable hydrogen for the tax credits, and so on." 💬"It's important to recognise that before those things are in place, it's hard for people to invest, because they don't know what market they are investing into." ▶️Watch the full interview here: https://ow.ly/YbYu50Qs6rQ The Green Hydrogen Projects Online Training Course will take place from 23 - 25 January, between 14:00 and 17:00 CET each day, and will cover: 🔹Market opportunities & deployment considerations 🔹Electrolysis technologies & performance considerations 🔹Key project delivery issues for #greenH2 projects 🔹Economic variables that impact the production cost 🔹And much more! 📑Download the brochure to learn more about the course: https://ow.ly/4gzn50Qs6rI 🎟️Register here to attend: https://ow.ly/mImy50Qs6s9 🔎World Hydrogen Leaders Members enjoy full access to all online courses - learn more about #WHL memberships here: https://ow.ly/kXKq50Qs6sw #WHLTraining #WHL #OnlineCourse #OnlineTraining #Upskill #HydrogenCourse #HydrogenTraining #ExpertInterview #HydrogenExpert #HydrogenIndustry #HydrogenMarket #GreenHydrogenProjects #GreenHydrogenCourse

Senior Product Manager +17 years in GE | Career Coach | #IamRemarkable facilitator | Empowering careers | Contact me
Unity in action drives change in the world. Standing at the cutting edge of innovation, the ASME International Gas Turbine Institute conference in London was an unforgettable experience. With my colleagues, I had the perception we can innovate, collaborate, and transform our world. I was delighted to support this incredible event as a session organizer, where over 2,700 participants from research centers, universities, industrial companies, energy end-users, and students gathered to share knowledge and learnings with a common goal: developing solutions to benefit lives and livelihoods. Beyond the technical aspects, I loved the collaborative environment among all parties. It is clear that global cooperation can help overcome challenges, meet development needs, and achieve targets in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Being part of such a conference offers tremendous professional and personal development opportunities. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with my GE Vernova colleagues, former colleagues, and friends, all dedicated to the common goal of making our planet a better place for everyone. I am grateful for the enjoyable moments we've shared and the stimulating discussions on new fuels for the power and aerospace sectors, carbon capture technologies, enhancing the efficiency of existing power plants, and fascinating ongoing projects. There is still much to accomplish, and I am thrilled to be actively contributing to this energy transformation. How can we further accelerate our efforts and achieve even greater impact? What innovative ideas or strategies do you think we should explore next? Share your thoughts and proposals – your input is invaluable as we strive to push the boundaries of innovation together.
