We cherish every opportunity to get together with our fellow Hobos and celebrate as a team. Last Tuesday, we were proud to continue our ‘Hobo of The Year’ tradition for the third year in a row. Our Hobo of The Year is nominated by fellow employees in our organization, determined by who embodies what it really means to be a Hobo and who contributes to the overall success of our organization day in and day out. This is the highest honor we give as an organization and we couldn't be prouder of the recipient this year. Nick DiPronio, Taproom Manager, received the award for his outstanding leadership, unwavering work ethic, and embodiment of what it means to be a genuine Hobo. Congratulations Nick, you proudly represent what it means to wear the crown. We were also able to celebrate our one-year Hobo’s and recognize all of their hard work by gifting them with a personalized Carhartt vest. This is not only a highly coveted piece of merch but also represents being officially patched in as a lifelong Hobo, and this time around we were thrilled to award another 13 vests. We also were lucky enough to honor SIX exceptional employees who have been with us for 5 years! We wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for their commitment and overall 'badassery'. We are so proud of our employees’ accomplishments and feel grateful to be able to celebrate them together.

I used to think celebrating yourself was wrong. I believed we should be modest and not show off. But I've learned something important along the way. Celebrate yourself, and here's why: Think about all those late nights and early mornings. You've put in the effort. Even the tiny victories count. They add up to big success. When you celebrate, you show others what's possible. You inspire them. Celebrating boosts your confidence. It tells your brain, "Hey, I did it!" It's a way of saying thanks for your journey so far. Celebrate Your Wins. Don't be afraid to pat yourself on the back. You've come a long way, and you've earned it. It's not bragging; it's acknowledging your progress and inspiring others to do the same. So, I encourage you: Celebrate yourself today. Share your success with the world. Because if you don't celebrate, who will? P.S. What's your recent win that you celebrate?

The more you celebrate, the more you win This photo of a father and son recreating their photo in the cockpit did more than make me smile today, it was a reminder to spend time celebrating my wins. One way this family stays motived for a very high level of a success is by pausing to celebrate their wins, like they did in this happy photo. (Even more photos in the article link below!) Whether big or small, celebrating goals sends a powerful message to yourself – that your dreams are worth pursuing, and your efforts and sacrifices matter. By taking a moment to pause and celebrate, we not only acknowledge our hard work and dedication but also fuel our motivation for future endeavors. It’s a cycle worth setting in motion for yourself and your entire team. If you don’t have a pile of celebratory photos like this one in your album, pay more attention to how you treat yourself when you hit your target. Pause, revel in the success, then refuel and go get ‘em again. https://lnkd.in/gf5f_WAU

What a BOTS-tastic Saturday celebrating the one year anniversary of DICK'S Sporting Goods House of Sports. Latham. 1. I can’t think of a retail partner that has created community from the jump like HOS. Kudos! 2. Having been around the block a few times, it takes a lot to surprise and impress me. Jared DeGroff did just that. Instead of a 🥱check presentation, he had Carabelle and I put together a puzzle that was the check. We had a blast doing it. Thanks for your support of Bring On The Spectrum Check out the comments for our IG Reel.

My company (Laacke & Joys) is celebrating 180 years. The average age of a company in the US is 10 years, so 180 is crazy! It's quite a number to wrap my brain around, so for a bit of context, here's what else was going on in 1844: 👉 The Milwaukee Sentinel, now the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, stopped spelling Milwaukee like this: Milwaukie. 👉 The Wisconsin Territory was just eight years old and four years away from statehood. 👉 Milwaukee is still two years away from being formally incorporated. 👉 The Civil War is 17 years away. So much has changed in the world and the marketplace in those 180 years. Some years have been great successes, with other years being less so. How to enjoy and maximize the successes; while mitigating and learning from the failures is every company's (and individual's) challenge. That Laacke & Joys, (with their brands of LJ Design & Manufacturing and Concept Seating) have been able to do this for 180 years is quite the feat! Cheers to many more! 🥂 🎉
🎉 Wow, 180 years! 🎉 That's a milestone worth celebrating! Join us as we look back on the remarkable journey of Laacke & Joys. "We're NOT a Cinderella, because when we play our A-game, we can be the best team on the floor." ~ Jack Gohlke, Oakland Golden Grizzles Guard after upsetting # 3 Seeded Kentucky Wildcats in last evening's NCAA Tournament. What is a "Cinderella" in Sports and is there a Parallel to the Logistics Industry? In sports, a "Cinderella" team refers to an underdog unexpectedly excelling and overcoming the odds to succeed. This term captures the imagination of fans and media, portraying these teams as unexpected successes in the grand tapestry of competition. However, to the athletes themselves and those within the team, the label "Cinderella" doesn't resonate. They understand the immense work, grit, and belief in one another that brought them to this point. Their journey isn't a fairy tale; it's the result of hard, consistent effort and unwavering determination. This concept finds a parallel in the logistics industry, particularly within our team at Rhode Sense. It's not about magical transformations but about the relentless hard work, detailed planning, and teamwork that goes into our efforts. In logistics, as in sports, success is not just about overcoming visible challenges. It's about the countless hours of preparation, the attention to detail, and the collective belief that no obstacle is insurmountable. At Rhode Sense, we embody this in every project we undertake. We don't wait for a fairy godmother; we create our own destiny, one delivery at a time. Remember, a Cinderella story is only so to the outside world. To those who live it, it's a testament to their commitment and hard work. In the spirit of Rhode Sense, we continue to operate by our guiding motto: "Where there's a road, we'll find a way." Come check us out when you have LTL, Truckload, Flatbed, Cross Border, or complex Projects under analysis - [email protected] #Logistics #Teamwork #RhodeSense #SuccessStories #BeyondCinderella

Celebrating MLK Day at GoTu, I reflect on the wisdom of my great brother, Martin Luther King Jr., whose legacy echoes in our hearts and actions. 💙✊ King's words weren't just for a moment; they're timeless lessons, and here are 5 that resonate powerfully in the business realm: 1. **Fairness:** MLK dreamt of a world where fairness was the foundation. At GoTu, we strive for an environment that's built on equity and fairness, ensuring every voice is heard and valued. 2. **Leadership:** "The time is always right to do what is right." These words guide us at GoTu, where leadership means integrity and making the right choices, not just the easy ones. 3. **Service:** "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" Our commitment at GoTu is rooted in serving dental offices and professionals, creating a positive impact. 4. **Community:** MLK envisioned a "beloved community." Likewise, at GoTu, we foster a community of dental professionals and offices, united in a shared vision of excellence. 5. **Change:** "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice." At GoTu, we're actively bending that arc by changing the way the world works in dental staffing, promoting fairness and efficiency. On this MLK Day, let's not just remember, but embody the principles that drive positive change. Together, let's continue changing the way the world works. 💙🌐 #MLKDay #LeadershipLegacy #ChangingTheWayWeWork

Nike does it again. They just aired an inspiring commercial featuring a quote from Track and Field Sprinter - Sha'Carri Richardson “It may look like 10 seconds to you, buts it looks like a lifetime of work for me” Today, marks the 6 month anniversary of Deebo, my entrepreneurial venture. While it has not been a lifetime of work, the pace of entrepreneurship can certainly make you feel that way. In the past 6 months, Deebo has reached 300 homes with 16 five-star reviews. I’m really proud of that. I wanted to share a few behind the scenes stats of what gets poured into launching and building an e-commerce / product business: ➡ 7,000 inventory pieces > physically counted and inspected by a human ➡ 500 hours at the warehouse > managing the supply chain ➡ 300 handwritten thank you cards > to each customer ➡ 150 Google searches > that begin with “how to…” ➡ 100 wasted hours > learning things, then unlearning, then re-learning ➡ 30 podcast episodes > self learning while orders are boxed ➡ 10 XL rolls of tape > packaging tape, painters tape, logo tape. SO MUCH TAPE. ➡ 2 compressed air dusters > surprisingly, there are a lot of ways to use these ➡1 trip to Vietnam > meeting the dozens of people who bring Deebo to life In case you’re wondering - Deebo is direct to consumer, at-home otoscope, for parents to check their kids ears, nose, and throat at home. It gives families the ability to collect information during those early days of sickness, when it’s too soon to take them to the doctor. It saves families from unnecessarily cancelling their schedules to run out to get a “hunch” checked out. I use mine every time my kids get sick. Thermometer first, Deebo second. Then I figure out how to run my day. I’m looking forward to the next 6 months.
