Celebrating 58: A Year of Legacy and Longevity As I turn 58 today, it’s a moment to reflect not just on personal milestones but also on the legacy of enduring businesses founded in the same year, 1966. The Miami Dolphins, kicking off their legacy in professional football, stand as a testament to resilience and passion. MasterCard revolutionized the way we handle money, while Best Buy has become the go-to for all our electronic needs. Caesars Entertainment has created lasting memories in the world of gaming and hospitality. Similarly, Acuity Insurance has been providing reliable coverage, and IHOP continues to serve up delightful breakfast experiences. First Hawaiian Bank remains a cornerstone in financial services, just as General Growth Properties has shaped our shopping experiences. Raymond James Financial has guided countless clients through their financial journeys, and Southwest Airlines has redefined affordable air travel. Turning 58, I find inspiration in these companies’ ability to adapt and thrive. It’s a reminder that with dedication and innovation, longevity is achievable in both personal and professional realms. Here’s to celebrating the journey so far and looking forward to many more years of growth and success. **Happy 58th Anniversary!** #Legacy #58Years #Milestones #EnduringSuccess #BusinessAnniversary #MiamiDolphins #MasterCard #BestBuy #CaesarsEntertainment #AcuityInsurance #IHOP #FirstHawaiianBank #RaymondJames #SouthwestAirlines

Following this week's annual business review, it's impossible not to reflect on the remarkable journey we've been on here at Biller Genie. It started like most great ideas do, I guess... I was simply trying to solve a problem. We started with a lone developer. Our roadmapping sessions consisted of a whiteboard, some burgers, and a bunch of beers (a sidenote for aspiring tech founders - this is NOT how you start a software company). From those humble beginnings, #BillerGenie has evolved into something more than I could have ever dreamed or hoped for. Today, we're a team of over 40 incredible people who #BelieveInTheGenie as much as I do, and work their asses off, day in and day out, on a relentless mission to make Accounts Receivable #automated #integrated and #simplified. It's because of them that Biller Genie is the #1 A/R Automation Platform in the market, and the level of engagement during this year's ABR is a clear testament to our team's passion and commitment. There were no distractions - no cell phones, no social media, no nodding off - just a room full of the best and brightest, fully dialed in, and contributing meaningful insights that will drive how we add even more value in the years to come. As Garima Shah and I looked around the room, witnessing our growth in real-time, it was both humbling and affirming. It's a shared belief that has fueled our quest to deliver the best solution in the market, and I'm #grateful to have the best business partner a guy could ever ask for. At the end of the day, none of this would be possible without our incredible partners and subscribers. A heartfelt thank you for being a part of our story. I give you my commitment that we will never stop innovating, never stop pushing the boundaries, and never stop trying to add value for you. But this is just the beginning. If you've been impressed with us so far, just stay tuned - we're just getting started. #Growth #Innovation #Teamwork #Gratitude #BillerGenie #StayTuned
Looking back on this year's Annual Business Review, we're filled with gratitude for our talented team. The review was informative and engaging, a true testament to the incredible individuals who make up our Biller Genie family. Following the day's insights, we kicked off our holiday party, and it was nothing short of amazing! 🎉 Each laugh shared and milestone celebrated reminds us how fortunate we are to work with such a dedicated group of people. Here's to another year of smashing goals and scaling new heights with the best crew in the game. 🧞✨ #BillerGenieFamily #HappyHolidays #ABR #Grateful #DreamTeam

I love this feedback! It reminds you that great recruiters (like Jodie and Louisa-Jayne) don't just contribute to the evolution of people's careers, but also the culture and pathway of the hiring business! #value #partnership #appreciation
We're thrilled to introduce our amazing office manager, Vikki Blake. Vikki joined our team earlier this year and has been a wonderful addition. She brings a wealth of skills and has already made great connections with many of our customers. Her role is quite diverse, so if you have any questions about accounts, dispatch, or stock, don't hesitate to contact her. She's here to help you.

Appreciate everyone who has reached out to congratulate me on my 9 year anniversary at IFI. It got me thinking on a long plane ride back home ... how is my work life different being a small business owner, compared to when someone else was responsible for making sure I received a paycheck every 2 weeks? At IFI, we have a "Lessons Learned" debrief after every client advisory board, consensus panel or KOL Connect so this is my attempt at a "Lessons Learned" over the past 9 years. This is not meant to be all encompassing or proclaim they lack importance at a larger company. Just a few things I believe are magnified in my world. As a small caveat, this was not AI generated, but came from my own mental capacity, and I must say was a bit cathartic to write down. 🙂 9 “Lessons Learned” that are magnified as a small business owner: 1. While I would love to be everywhere all the time, I can’t do it. Create a culture of transparency, hire the right employees, make them feel valued and allow them to take ownership with clients. 2. We exist because our clients provide us opportunities. Never take those for granted. 3. We are very good at what we do, but referrals and repeat business are the ultimate compliment. 4. The word “partnership” is overused. Collaborative client/provider relationships require effort and trust from both sides, and are more likely to evolve into a true partnership over time. 5. Mistakes will happen. It’s all about how quickly you take responsibility, take corrective action and learn so it doesn’t happen again. 6. If someone is “dancing in your lifeboat,” take action quickly (some of you will recognize this reference to Kevin Brown, one of my all-time favorite leadership mentors). 7. Small business ownership is highly rewarding and comes with the ultimate responsibility. We provide career opportunities and gainful employment for some incredibly smart, talented and amazing people. 8. Celebrate accomplishments, but don’t spend too much time patting yourself on the back. 9. "Thank you" does not last forever ... it is virtually impossible to express appreciation too often.

Regional Vice President | Person of the Year AAMD 2024 Let’s turn every property into a success story! 🚀
The individuals you encounter on your journey often wield a profound influence, and Mike was undoubtedly one of those impactful connections! While making an impact may be innate for some, it's a skill that can be cultivated. Here are key points to enhance your ability to leave a lasting impression: 1. **Active Listening:** Demonstrate genuine interest by actively listening to others, nodding, and responding thoughtfully. 2. **Positive Body Language:** Use open and confident body language to convey approachability and sincerity. 3. **Authenticity:** Be yourself and let your true personality shine, as authenticity often leaves a lasting impression. 4. **Express Empathy:** Show understanding and empathy toward others' experiences and perspectives. 5. **Confidence (Not Arrogance):** Display confidence in your abilities without coming across as arrogant. Humility is key. 6. **Mindful Communication:** Choose your words carefully, speak clearly, and be mindful of the impact your words can have on others. 7. **Offer Help:** Extend a helping hand or offer assistance when appropriate. Acts of kindness leave a positive impression. 8. **Memorability:** Share interesting anecdotes or unique aspects about yourself that make you memorable in a positive way. 9. **Sense of Humor:** Appropriately use humor to lighten the mood and create a more relaxed atmosphere. 10. **Respectful Curiosity:** Show genuine curiosity about others, asking thoughtful questions and showing respect for their experiences and opinions.
For work, I traveled 28 times this year. Looking back on photos, I should have taken way more! The last trip of the year, a team gathering in Dallas, was an absolute highlight of FY23. Grateful for the memories and opportunities that were presented and created in 2023. What was the best work trip you took this year?

Associates Week Day 4 wrap up - We are common people doing uncommon things Today I participated in the most bizarre business meeting of my career. We (Canadian team) had a 2.5 hours meeting with our C-level team, part of it dedicated to a Q&A session. I was expecting shop talk. Oh boy, I was wrong. The meeting was about personal histories. They shared theirs, a bunch of us shared ours. A reminder of what we all are - people trying to do their best, succeeding sometimes, failing sometimes, needing encouragement when we feel afraid, feeling the pressure of multiple demands and the excitement of helping other people grow; we are in paths that are not the result of a well defined plan, but are forged as we go and life happens. #shareholders2024 #shareholdersCA2024
