Have you thought about removing the aerator from your faucet? I removed mine to prevent bacteria from building up in it. When we turn our water on the pressure breaks off the NTM biofilm from the pipes and causes bacteria to accumulate in the aerator. You can clean it regularly and soak it in bleach or take the easy way out and remove it all together. What do you do to sterilize your water? Do you boil it? Use a UV sterilizer? Use a filtering pitcher like the Lifestraw? DO NOT USE A BRITA PITCHER! Charcoal filters encourage bacterial growth. I take these precautions because I have bronchiectasis and a history of MAC infections. I try to control what I can and then don’t worry about what I can’t.
