The problem we have as patients trying to drive change is that we don’t speak the same language as clinicians, providers, and payers. Patient Engagement to them is meeting with a patient for their appointment or when a patient uses their patient portal. It does not mean co-creation. It does not mean working with the patient to create a portal that works for them or to listen to what patients need to create change. In industry, it is not common to put a patient on a panel about patient engagement. It was a novel idea when I proposed it to a digital health group. Just bringing that up created a change in that group, which hopefully will propagate. To create change, we need to be in the same room. We need to make sure we are speaking the same language. We need to make sure we are truly working together and listening to each other.

These are the best hidden results of the value proposition that PACE provides participants and lead the way I best of care during the Covid pandemic. This happened across all PACE organizations as reported by Grantmakers In Aging (GIA) and National PACE® Association .and published in recent literature. The other best kept secret.... the outcomes for this population continues to be the best on most metrics compared to like dual populations. So why are there many who have nit heard of PACE, And why are there states in need of LTC options that do not have PACE programs?
