The 2023 study, evaluated the impact of different blood glucose (BG) target ranges for IV insulin infusions with key findings including: - Optimal Range: BG 100-140 mg/dL had the highest in-target percentage at 57.5%. - Hypoglycemia: Lowest incidents at BG 140-180 mg/dL with 0.16% for BG <70 mg/dL and 0.01% for BG <40 mg/dL. - Hyperglycemia: Lowest incidents at BG 140-180 mg/dL with 4.2%. - IV Insulin Duration: Shortest at BG 140-180 mg/dL with 26.0 hours.
