The Law of Respect, is a foundational principle that holds immense significance in the world of leadership and personal development. This law emphasizes that respect is not automatically granted with a position or title; it must be earned through one's 1. Actions, 2. Character, and 3. Integrity. In today's business environment, leaders who embody the Law of Respect are more likely to inspire trust, collaboration, and loyalty among their teams. They understand that leadership is not about asserting authority, but about serving and empowering others. By demonstrating respect for the ideas, opinions, and well-being of team members, leaders create a positive and inclusive work culture where individuals are motivated to give their best. Incorporating the Law of Respect into our leadership approach not only fosters stronger relationships but also paves the way for personal and professional growth. It reminds us that leadership is a privilege earned through genuine respect for others, ultimately leading to greater success and influence in our endeavors. #Leadership #Respect #PersonalDevelopment https://lnkd.in/g8m8cQ2R Josh Hannaberry, Dave Elniski, MA, CTSP, CRSP, ATCL, Chad Albert, Cliff Litke, Michelle Spacil, Alberta Motor Transport Association, Jason Donkersgoed, MA (Leadership), CEC, ACC, CPHR Alberta, Tamara Sanderson #StrategicLeadership #Respect #NavigatingChallenges #LeadershipInsights #LawOfRespect #JohnMaxwell #Empowerment #LeadershipGoals #PositiveInfluence #LeadershipJourney #JohnMaxwell #trucking #Humanresouces #Management #leadership #safety

One of my professional goals is humanizing the work. I believe that influencing leadership styles and decision-making processes are key to this, since these two factors set the direction for the organization. This is equally true when it comes to building an ethics and compliance culture. As Sabine Clappaert and Ilona Indra mentioned, "it must begin with ethics and compliance being owned by senior leaders as a leadership responsibility, and it must be part of strategic decision-making discussions." In this article, they share great insights into setting the right standards and the approach to lead the way.
How does leadership shape an organisation’s risk culture? Our experts Sabine Clappaert and Ilona Indra wrote an article for Cosmos to provide their insights and below they share five key takeaways to lead the way, ethics and compliance as leadership responsibilities. Building Trust: The Law of Solid Ground John Maxwell's "21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" brings to light many invaluable principles, and the Law of Solid Ground is particularly pivotal. It teaches that trust is the foundation of leadership. This law emphasizes the importance of trustworthiness and integrity in a leader’s journey, akin to standing on solid ground. In my own leadership experiences, I've come to realize that trust is not a given; it's earned. It's built through consistent actions, truthfulness, and reliability. This law resonates with me because it underlines that a leader's potential is limited without the foundation of trust. No matter how visionary or charismatic one is, without trust, their leadership stands on shaky ground. The Law of Solid Ground has shaped my approach to leadership. It's a reminder that every decision, every interaction, and every commitment is an opportunity to build or erode trust. Leaders must be mindful of their actions and their words, ensuring they align with ethical principles and the promises made to their team and stakeholders. Leadership, in essence, is a relationship built on trust. By adhering to the Law of Solid Ground, we can lead with integrity, foster strong relationships, and create an environment where everyone feels secure to grow and innovate. https://lnkd.in/gKZ4GbkU Josh Hannaberry, Dave Elniski, MA, CTSP, CRSP, ATCL, Chad Albert, Cliff Litke, Michelle Spacil, Alberta Motor Transport Association, Jason Donkersgoed, MA (Leadership), CEC, ACC, CPHR Alberta, #StrategicLeadership #PlanningForSuccess #NavigatingChallenges #LeadershipInsights #LawOfSolidGround #JohnMaxwell #Empowerment #LeadershipGoals #PositiveInfluence #LeadershipJourney #LawOfInfluence #JohnMaxwell #trucking #Humanresouces #Management #leadership
