This is the ideal family structure according to Penuel Mlotshwa. Intentionally finding 4 women to have 6 children whom I assume live in different homes is considered a hack. Whom are African men emulating? Traditionally, an African man lived with all his children whether he had one or multiple wives. He was always present. I would like to hear from African people in the diaspora how this new type of family structure characterised by absent fathers is working for your 'legacies'. What a powerful way to communicate the power of women in Virginia history and today!
Women played a crucial role in the settlement at Jamestown. While the first settlers in 1607 were exclusively men, women worked over the following years to provide the stability and family structure which were crucial to Jamestown’s survival. Among the first English women to arrive and help foster a home life in the rugged Virginia wilderness was Anne Burras in 1608. Her marriage to carpenter John Laydon only three months after her arrival became the first Jamestown wedding celebration. The couple went on to raise a family of four girls, which helped build, stabilize, and spur growth within the first permanent English colony in North America. #WomenInHistory VirginiaWomen #WomensHistoryMonth

This is what #brainwash looks like. When someone who looks normative acts in contrast to any human value (e.g. supporting the release of innocent, civilian hostages, suffering and dying in the hands of a cruel #terrorist organization) and clearly demonstrate they are AGAINST such humane act. How does this happen? It starts with #usefulidiots with no real purpose in life. Usually spending the majority of their time doomscrolling their #socialmedia feeds, being fed amplified pieces of misinformation, amplified by foreign governments (China, Russian, Iran and North Korea) controlled algorithms, shaping their malleable perception of "reality" into what serves those bad actors agendas. Those effected are easily manipulated to think the ideas planted in their heads are their own. They are (easily) led to believe that they're "courageously fighting the just fight". They are (easily) led to believe they are now part of "the revolution" to make everything better (although, had they stopped to think for a second, they'd realize their partners to that revolution are nothing more than #anarchists, #terrorsupporters, #agentsofchaos and, surprisingly enough - #radicalislam that would never tolerate the Western way of life. From there, those little "culture warriors" go on to rip the posters calling to the release of civilian hostages. Don't be fooled though. Some take it further and will be aiding and abetting #terrorists attacks in their own country. All for the "cause". #publicsafety
I will never understand this. 115 hostages, including a baby (!!), are still being held in inhumane conditions in #Gaza by #HamasISIS. For more than 10 months now 💔 Unfortunately, there are still people, like this woman in Stamford Hill, North London, who find satisfaction in obsessively destroying posters of innocent children, elders, men, and women. No matter how much they claim to be 'full of humanity' or 'moral', their actions speak louder and reveal the exact opposite.
