Hat-trick! Relativity has scored the top position in eDiscovery, Legal Hold, and Investigation Management in G2's Spring 2024 Grid Reports. This is our first time at the front of the Legal Hold category - and also the first time I've used the phrase "hat-trick" in the context of #legaltech. Woo!

A big thank you to our managed review partner, Integreon, for co-hosting a discussion on tackling the sea of new data coming from texts, Slack, Teams and more, and helping us to fill the panel with eDiscovery luminaries like Clare Chalkley, Manfred Gabriel, Kevin Bannon and Matt Rasmussen. Tips shared included: 💡Question custodians on all of the communications channels they use, never assume it’s just email and texts 💡 Even if someone says they deleted messages, they can be found. You just need to ask them to name all they communicated with and rebuild conversations from their devices 💡 If an organization is using Google docs, it will have a downstream impact on how you preserve and review data 💡You need a solid ECA process in place to minimize the teams of data 💡Identify technology that can help you to deal with short message data efficiently and treat it like data, not documents (CloudNine can help!) A more thorough summary of the conversation will be out soon. 🧠 Where are we using human effort inefficiently to do repetitive tasks that we can automate through technological tools? Take that TALENT and LEVEL IT UP to bleeding edge things. This gives you a chance to reach out to outside counsel to ask for help trying out new tools. In-house counsel are so mired in day-to-day work that they can't look up. We appreciate the work our outside counsel firms do to bring razor's edge technology to us - to test and define problems. They are much better suited to do that. They can test with 20 clients (whereas in-house counsels have limited test opportunities). This can be a springboard to innovation. 💬 I really liked the way one speaker talked about finding areas to apply innovation and how (give it a listen!) It's not about replacing humans - it's about wasting talent on tedium and instead using the talent where it matters. Outside counsel can help. Thanks David Cohen of Reed Smith LLP, Alicia Hawley, of K&L Gates, Adam Rouse of Walgreens, Cory Osher and Savitha Masson of UnitedLex.

📈 In the ever-evolving landscape of eDiscovery analytics, the trends we're witnessing are both exciting and challenging. The exponential growth in data volume demands innovative solutions to control costs and enhance efficiency. At Level Legal, we're leveraging analytics, dataset reduction, categorization, and other tools to sift through the noise and find what's truly relevant. Our commitment to cutting-edge technology ensures that we can handle even the most complex data types, from traditional word processing files to chat-based data from smart devices. 🔍 Another trend we're embracing is the increasing importance of early case assessment. By getting a handle on the contours of the dataset early on, we can inform search term negotiation and set clear guardrails around discovery requests. Our focus on analytics and powerful tools not only leads to more equitable discovery but also yields better results for the law firms we support. I'm thrilled to share that I'll be a featured speaker at this year's Relativity Fest. Join me on September 26th at 3:30 pm Central for a government and public sector focused session, "Navigating the Data Crisis: Tips and Tricks for Building Out Your Strategy." During this session, we'll dive into the challenges faced by government agencies, both at the state and federal levels. We will explore how agencies are tackling the ever-growing variety and volume of data, discussing the critical role of people, processes, and technology in budgeting for and modernizing your internal tools, and shedding light on why settling for "good enough" technology is a compromise. By the end of our conversation, you'll walk away with actionable insights on fostering meaningful internal discussions and devising strategies to tackle your agency's challenges arising from the proliferation of data. I'm eager to connect with everyone next week and look forward to seeing all of our Public Sector and Government customers at this session! #RelativityFest #PublicSector #GovernmentTech #eLitigation #DataChalleneges #DataManagement #Modernization #Relativity #LegalTech #GovernmentIT #DigitalTransformation #TechStrategy #Innovation #ProcessImprovement #TechIntegration #WorkforceDevelopment #PeopleProcessTechnology
