At Chemical Institut Burkon careers begin long before graduation. As a good example of a successful cooperation with the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, we’d like to introduce one of our analysts and LC-MS/MS operators to you: Fidan Günüc. Before joining the Chemical Institute Burkon as a full-time employee, Fidan had already completed her internship semester at our company. After completing her chemistry studies and graduating from the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm in 2022, she decided to come back to us by applying for an analyst position. Once again, we were happy to welcome her at the Chemical Institute Burkon. Since then, it has been over a year that she has been working for us as an analyst, specialising in residues and contaminants. Her focus is on pesticide analysis in all kinds of food. In addition to pesticides, she is also trained in the analysis of mycotoxins, process contaminants and various alkaloids. Beyond her work in the lab, Fidan is also in charge of our social media content. We look forward to many more years of successful cooperation.   In this context, we would also like to inform you about the latest development regarding mycotoxins: The project to introduce maximum levels for T-2/HT-2 toxin in cereal and cereal products. More precisely, the previous “indicative levels” for T-2 and HT-2 toxin in cereals and cereal products are to be replaced by maximum levels. The new maximum levels apply from July 1, 2024. I attended Anuvartan 1.0, a significant event hosted by my college's Agro-Marketing Club, on February 10, 2024. It was incredible! Prominent figures from the industry attended the event and gave some really insightful advise. They stated the following: 1. Don't be scared to experience discomfort and absorb knowledge from tiny businesses. 2. Recognize the behavioral patterns of several generations and concentrate on maintaining emotional stability, effective communication, and toughness. 3. Understand what employers want from you, such as a strong work ethic, self-assurance, and a constant pursuit of knowledge. 4. Recognize the distinction between causing events to happen accidentally and intentionally. 5. Put effort into developing crucial traits like patience, teamwork, and efficient time management. As I reflect on the learnings from Anuvartan 1.0, 1 am excited to embark on my journey, armed with invaluable lessons and a renewed sense of purpose. Two dynamic days of lively discussions have unfolded at the 2nd INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON BIOTECHNOLOGY hosted at the University of Kragujevac, Agronomski fakultet Čačak, Serbia. From the #AedilDairyCoVE perspective, the highlight was the presentation of Serbian CoVE: MLEKOLOGIJA - Centar izvrsnosti u mlekarstvu, and the Panel discussion titled: „Strategic linking: harmonizing education and the needs of the food industry - an example of the dairy sector“ moderated by Prof Dr. Jelena Miocinovic University of Belgrade Faculty of Agriculture. With a diverse lineup of panel participants, ranging from academia to industry leaders, the conversation was rich with insights and perspectives.
