Not Doctors but Gods to tribals! Prakash and Mandakini Amte could've been regular city doctors. Instead, they chose an amazing path! In 1973, they visited the Hemalkasa jungle and were shocked. "The Madia-Gond tribals looked so thin and weak because of malnutrition. They'd run away when they saw us," Prakash remembers. The couple decided to help. They left their comfy lives and moved to a hut in Hemalkasa. No roads, no electricity, nothing! At first, the tribals didn't trust them. They believed in witch doctors, not modern medicine. But the Amtes didn't give up. Slowly, things changed. They saved a badly burned boy. They did an emergency surgery to save a mom's life. Word spread and more tribals started coming to them. Over 40 years, their little hut clinic became a big hospital. They also started a school that now teaches 650 kids! The Amtes show us that volunteering can change lives.
