𝙋𝙪𝙢𝙥 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 / 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 Dear Young Engineers, After 20+years of experience in and around pump products and based on the interaction with hundreds of engineers across various disciplines and industries, I have learned and experienced that knowledge and skillset of pump is worthy and can surely earn an attractive return in tangible and intangible form. Simple reason is, without pump, we can not imagine any industry. Knowledge and skillsets of pump have many different dimensions such as selection, design, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting etc. The most important and interesting point here to remember is; We, human being, can be a master of our life if we wish, but pump doesn't have that luxury. Any pump is always a slave to the pumping system, it doesn't matter how superior the design is, it doesn't matter how expensive it is. Since the system governs the pump, understanding and exposure of the system (suction and discharge vessels plus all pipes, elbows, valves, filters, fittings, and instrumentation) is also necessary. That make things little complex !! But, don't worry. You don't have to be expert in each and every aspects of pump. You just have to identify the particular skillsets required in and around the pump inline with your roles and responsibility.
