#ACHA recognizes that staying up-to-date on current trends and changes across the healthcare design industry can be challenging. Fortunately, we hold exclusive Town Hall events throughout the year for Certificants to gather, share, and explore current challenges in healthcare architecture, as well as new ideas and perspectives. These recurring events help us to not only uncover healthcare design issues but also generate solutions. Our latest Town Hall topic, “Shifts in Sites of Care,” delved into how evolving patient and caregiver protection protocols, adoption of new care technologies, updated practices, and responses to utilization of available labor have all impacted approaches to the delivery of healthcare. We are proud to continue to create coveted opportunities for our current and future Certificants to collaborate and discuss ways to help transform healthcare through better-built environments. To join future Town Halls, consider becoming ACHA-Certified at the link below. #Certificants #HealthcareDesign #Healthcare #HealthcareArchitecture #Architecture #Design #HealthcareInnovation #Networking https://lnkd.in/gAx4RGpK

Whitespace Service, in partnership with Flatfoot Engineering, undertook a critical mission: improving the environmental conditions in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NNICU) at Life Roseacres Hospital. Our solution? A cutting-edge Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) rooftop unit. The Challenge: Inadequate Airflow and Comfort The existing unit was inefficient, failing to provide essential airflow, heating, and cooling. This compromised both patient comfort and staff well-being. Insufficient air changes also posed health risks, impacting indoor air quality. Our Solution: Precision-Engineered VRV Rooftop Unit We replaced the old system with a state-of-the-art VRV Rooftop Unit. This advanced technology ensures superior efficiency and precise control over environmental conditions. But we didn’t stop there. Prioritizing Air Quality Recognizing the critical role of air quality in healthcare, we focused on ventilation. Strategic design and innovative technologies now ensure continuous fresh, clean air throughout the NNICU ward. Impact: Happier patients, healthier staff, and a safer environment.
