Did you know that survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and human trafficking can protect their privacy and still vote safely? People facing abuse may be prevented from voting due to isolation, coercion, or concerns about privacy. For survivors, public voter registration lists that include names and addresses can feel dangerous. Thankfully, programs like the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) administered by the Virginia Office of the Attorney General help survivors vote without revealing their location. ACPs provide a substitute mailing address to keep survivors’ information private. This is just one step in a larger safety plan, designed to increase protection and peace of mind. Voting is a fundamental right, and no one should be forced to choose between their safety and their voice. Such a delicate and real concern. I was amazed in one educational setting whereby trust and rapport was established via online education and like this story intervention occurred. What is UBER necessary to say is if children or moms and kids are in a domestic trap ALL PEOPLE INVOLVED NEED HELP and let’s remember we want to break some generational patterns. God bless and give discernment! Let’s be honest with ourselves and also support for dads who may care - yet in families where some who are merely following cultural and generational strongholds (like dominance, intimidation or controlling moms and kids via levers of money or other oppressive acts, such as isolation). People - young and mature need support love and supportive family units to grow and thrive. Educate and support the young people who shall become leaders in the generations to come.

October is #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth. Orders of protection (OOP) are the most widely used civil legal remedy against domestic violence in South Carolina. An OOP is a powerful tool that provides immediate safety for survivors, empowering them to restrict their abuser's actions through the court system. This legal action not only deters further harm but also connects victims with vital resources, ensuring they receive the comprehensive support they need.
