For the past 5 years, the textured hair care market has experienced a significant boom. Large legacy brands had been under-serving this market with basic offerings and segmentation. Small indie brands saw an opportunity to step in with more sophisticated products tailored to the diverse range of textured hair types. These brands played a crucial role in making textured hair care a mainstream topic and fueling trends like the social acceptance of natural locks and curls. The success of these indie brands has not gone unnoticed, with major retailers and investors quickly showing interest, further fueling the trend. Now is the time when celebrities are leveraging their influence and resources to launch their own textured hair care brands. This move confirms the great potential for expert brands catering specifically to textured hair needs. Exciting times lie ahead for the textured hair care industry! #texturedhair #haircare #indiebrands #celebritybrands #skinification

Freelance Hair Colour Specialist Kensington & Belgravia📍🇬🇧 Creative Head Awards ‘Colour Expert’ All textures | curly hair specialist | voice for inclusivity in the industry |
Hairdressing isn’t just about the practical side of things. At the heart of the industry It’s about trust, community and connections. On a human level it’s more than “just hair” it’s our identity and our salons should be a safe space for women with all hair types. We have the ability to affect feelings and influence wellbeing. How personal it is to touch somebody’s head and the barriers that are broken down just by where you stand and touch. There is a responsibility in that role. 💛 Although the industry is pushing to make moves. Unfortunately many people with Afro/textured hair are still finding themselves in uncomfortable situations. With many hairdressers still lacking the skill sets. Women with Afro/textured hair are often being made to feel problematic within an environment which is meant to make you feel good. All salons should be aiming to meet the needs of individual hair types. As a hairdresser these experiences are less traumatic. I would also be considered to have more “manageable” textured hair. The language used is also a big part of the problem but that is a separate issue. There are women with Afro hair who wouldn’t dream of hitting the high street hairdressers without sourcing someone they were confident could handle their hair. The process can be exhausting. Only 1% of the 35,000 Uk salons cater for Afro/textured hair. 70% of British black women still feel let down by the high street. This can be even more challenging outside of London. These conversations are important, the push for change within the industry continues. More hair stories from our webinar event “How to create a truly inclusive salon” full event in links in the bio 💛

Beyoncé to launch hair care brand later this month Beyoncé is set to disrupt the beauty industry with her upcoming hair care line, Cécred, launching on Feb. 20. Drawing on her roots at her mom's salon and a deep connection to hair culture, Beyoncé shares a glimpse into her journey with a nostalgic Instagram post. In a strategic move, Cécred expands beyond hair care, offering a range from candles to vitamins. While celebrity brands flood the beauty space, Beyoncé's history in the industry, exemplified by her successful Cé Noir perfume line, positions Cécred as a potential game-changer. However, past celebrity brand failures highlight the volatile nature of this market. The insight here is that even with a celebrity status, navigating the beauty business demands more than a recognizable face – it requires a sustainable and authentic connection with consumers. E-commerce leaders should take note of both the promise and perils as Beyoncé ventures into this competitive landscape. #BeautyBusiness #CécredLaunch #EcommerceInsights https://lnkd.in/esv3aYwN

Membership for Phenomenal Hair 📣 Kayla's journey with In Awe Salon began after years of grappling with boxed hair dyes and lackluster treatments. 📣 What sets In Awe Salon apart, according to Kayla, is their meticulous consultation process. From the moment she sits down with her stylist, she feels listened to and understood. They take the time to assess her hair, understand her desires, and most importantly, set reasonable expectations. After years of disappointment, this thorough approach was a breath of fresh air for Kayla. 📣 One aspect of In Awe Salon that Kayla particularly loves is their membership program. Unlike traditional salons where you pay after each appointment, In Awe Salon offers memberships that allow patrons to pay in advance. For Kayla, this not only simplifies the payment process but also adds a sense of financial security. Knowing that her visits are already taken care of allows her to relax and fully enjoy the experience without worrying about the bill at the end. 📣 Membership programs like this are a stroke of genius for salons. They not only foster loyalty among customers but also provide a steady stream of revenue for the business. It's a win-win situation where both the salon and the clients benefit. #InAweSalon #HairCare #SalonExperience #LuxurySalon #HairTransformation #SelfCare #PamperingSession #MembershipPerks #BeautyCommunity #HairGoals #ConfidenceBoost #ClientExperience #HairConsultation #BoxDyeRecovery #SalonMembership #Indulgence #VIPExperience #BeautyRoutine #TreatYourself #HairLove #SalonLife #ClientSatisfaction #HairConfidence #BeautyStandards #Cleopatratrashbags #memberships #girlmath #sales #KPIs #innovation

I help entrepreneurs and experts make their business E.P.I.C. using social media and content without overwhelm.
💇♂️ I didn't know my grey hair rebellion would turn out to be a lesson in expert intervention. My 2.5-hour salon adventure revealed more than just a new look.🪞✨ Tired of playing hide-and-seek with stubborn grey, I took a leap of faith in a new salon. Little did I know, I was about to discover the true value of expertise. 🔍💡 The hair stylist didn't just offer a quick fix. He proposed a genius solution: embracing the grey with a lighter shade. 🎨🌟 To add, he armed me with hair care wisdom and even promised to give my bangs another round of style in my next visit. Talk about going above and beyond. 🦸♂️💆♂️ It hit me - this is what real expertise looks like. It's not about band-aids; it's about tailored solutions that save you money, resources, and most precious of all, time. ⏳💰 Funny how a hair appointment can mirror business wisdom, right? 🤔💼 Just today, Nina and I had a potential client seeking more than just a quick Facebook ad campaigns fix. They wanted to maximize their existing campaigns. 📊🚀 The right experts not only save you time and money, but also offer peace of mind by addressing the - pun intended - root of your problems. This approach is what sets genuine professionals apart - and what we aim to provide every client. Whether it's hair care or business growth, the right expert doesn't just solve problems - they can raise your entire game. 🏆🔝 Cheers to tea! They gave me this during my salon visit. #MediaRocketz #expertsolutions #Facebookmarketing

I’ve been seeing a lot of growing frustration between black women and hair stylists all over social media. I for one LOVE my stylist (shoutout to Melissa at H2 Salon in Brooklyn). She has helped me maintain my hair health and keeps me in check. But I recognize that not everyone shares in this experience. Salons were historically cultural epicenters within black communities, but the reality for some is that salon culture has changed. In fact, according to Mintel, 70% of black consumers feel that salons are more transactional than they used to be, with 57% preferring to just manage their hair at home as a result. Whether the frustration is fueled by customers thinking stylists are unprofessional or too expensive, or stylists thinking that customers have unreasonable expectations - I think one thing we can all agree on is that there is plenty of room for reconciliation by empowering both customers and stylists. What if customers were more aware of the scientific principles behind hair, giving them a deeper understanding of why a stylist might suggest certain services and refuse others. What if customers had a better understanding of how what they do IN-BETWEEN appointments can actually impact what happens DURING appointments? To me, the breakdown in communication comes down to misaligned expectations, which candidly is a larger conversation. BUT I believe an educated customer could definitely help. #hair #beauty #wellness #blackhair #texturedhair #healthyhair #salons https://lnkd.in/evH3Q7-Z
