On 11th July, LBS Properties, along with colleagues from the Oakglen group, will take on a 60-mile ride from London to Brighton - in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Every one of us has been affected by cancer - whether ourselves, our loved ones or friends. Macmillan raise money to provide vital cancer services, research and campaign to achieve better cancer care, and support the cancer workforce. Despite their incredible efforts, there are over 3 million people living with cancer in the UK, with around 392,000 people diagnosed every single year. So, we'll be donning our Lycra and riding from London to Brighton in aid of this great cause. With what you could call a mixed level of cycling experience, serious training is underway for some - but a little less serious for others! If you'd like to donate or follow our progress, you can do that here: https://lnkd.in/eXF6YYcE

This is the BEST! Many of you will know that, as a business, we support Be More Frank – a charity fund set up in honour of Frank Cleal, who died aged 13 from a rare bone cancer. #BeMoreFrank is a special named fund of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust that provides grants to the family of every child with cancer in Herefordshire, Powys, Worcestershire, Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire and Ceredigion. As part of our fundraising efforts, our fantastic office teams took part in wear red day today. Frank was a big Liverpool FC fan, so we are sure he would have approved of this theme! A huge thank you to everyone who took part and please keep spreading awareness of this fantastic charity fund. https://lnkd.in/ehHg2tYe #charityfundraising

🔹Top Award Winning Business Development Strategist 2024🔹Public Speaker🔹Connector for Prosperity ➡️ I help my clients to connect on a human level to cement relationships to win over new business
ONE OF MY TOP 3 -Best Business 2024 A construction company who withholds the challenges of supply chain issues, rising costs to build and continually shows up as a contributor to the wider community in a meaningful way. Why is it that builders are going under yet the Better Living Group can withhold those external forces and still find $100k to donate to Children's Cancer Charity and support Housing All Australians to house those in need? Put simply they care. They put people before profit. They stand for something greater than the bottom line which elevates them above industry standard. This is life-centric business strategy in action that I have been talking about for sometime. The Better Living Group are a glowing standard of operating according to their company values. Values that resonate in a meaningful way with the community, that gets them more business not because of what they do but because of WHO THEY ARE. You could not buy publicity like this for your company. It is not what they are seeking yet it is what they getting for being a beacon of hope in an industry that is falling apart at the seams. This is what draws the market closer to you when you make the decision to do what is right over what is self serving. It opens the door to opportunities, partnerships, collaborations that bring in more business -not through Ai tools, sponsored ads or writing meaningless content but by SHOWING their generosity of spirit, their craftsmanship in ways their competitors would only dream of. It's about being involved in the lives of your market in WAYS THAT MATTER. You don't see them post on construction finished or standing with an award as that is not relevant in today's market. That sort of thinking puts you in a sea of sameness. Congratulations Silvio Mazzei to the continuing work you do for us all here in Melbourne we appreciate you. A lot of other businesses could take a leaf out of your book. Take note Qantas, Coles, Woolworths. #businessstrategy #businesssuccess #construction
We're thrilled to share that last night at the Channel 9 Grand Final Spectacular, Better Living Group donated $100,000 to My Room Children’s Cancer Charity. As a family business, giving back is at the heart of what we do. We believe in the power of community, and the incredible support My Room provides to children facing cancer and their families is something we deeply admire. It’s an honor to align ourselves with such a meaningful cause. We look forward to our continued partnership knowing that together, we can create positive change in the lives of those who need it most and end childhood cancer. #BetterLivingGroup #MyRoom #GivingBack #Community #ChildrensCancerSupport

This is my ninth year participating in the annual Great Cycle Challenge to raise money to fight children’s cancer. Cancer in children is different from cancers that develop later in adults. As a result, the side effects of typical adult cancer treatments cause more harm to children because children’s bodies are still growing and developing. One in five children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive, and for those who do, by the age of fifty, more than 99% of survivors had a chronic health problem, and 96% have experienced a severe or life-threatening condition. Unfortunately, funding for childhood cancer is less than 10 percent of the dollars the federal government makes available for research into adult cancers which is why raising funds is so important. One in four families lose more than 40% of their annual household income because of childhood cancer treatment-related work disruption, while one in three families face other work disruptions such as having to quit or change jobs. Please donate to my ride by visiting https://lnkd.in/gpaA9A5.

Interesting statistics as we quickly approach the back half of 2024: - 12% of all nonprofit giving happens within the last few days of the year - 28% of nonprofits raise up to 50% of their annual donations during year-end campaigns - 30% of all nonprofit donations happen during the month of December How do you support your preferred charities? If you participate in Giving Tuesday, what is your motivation? My motivation is the great organizations I get to support through donating to charity teams like Imerman Angels. This year I'm starting Giving Tuesday early by kicking off fundraising for the 2024 Chicago Marathon via Team Imerman. Their mission is to provide comfort and understanding for all cancer fighters, survivors, previvor, and caregivers through a personalized one-on-one connection with someone who has been there. Imerman Angels envisions a world where cancer is not a solitary experience.
I'm supporting Imerman Angels!

Looking for something to do on Sunday. Why not set up your fundraising page 😜 ? We receive NO government funding and rely on the community to help us support everyone in Aotearoa, New Zealand, affected by bowel cancer. We can’t do this without you. Join us this Bowel Cancer Awareness Month! Fundraising isn't just about physical challenges, if that isn’t your thing – here are some creative ways you can help: 💚 Host a quiz night: Gather your friends and family online or in person for a fun quiz and ask for donations to participate. 💚 Bake sale: Whip up your favorite treats and sell them to your community, with all proceeds going to support our cause. 💚 Online auction: Host an online auction with your workplace - with funds raised supporting Bowel Cancer NZ. 💚 Head shave: Brave the shave and raise funds by getting sponsored to shave your head. Every effort, big or small, helps us in the fight against bowel cancer. Let's get creative and make a difference together! Create your page here: https://lnkd.in/eF9AyA3q
